It's so sad how dismissive people are of mothers. For example, some of the so-called women advocates who say "everybody can be a mother, it's nothing to be proud of." Like excuse me? Nobody would say that about somebody who survived a painful surgery or a physically difficult ordeal. Nobody then would say "oh, you cannot be proud of yourself for surviving that bc others went through the same."
