science side of tumblr how do i safely move interstate with a gaming pc without breaking it?

it'll be going in my car, im driving, and im nervous because last time i moved interstate with a gaming pc it died shortly after. i did have it wrapped in a ton of blankets but i guess that wasnt good enough?

I would recommend you unplug and remove the GPU, then wrap the PC case in bubble wrap/blankets and place it on its side with the motherboard facing up. As long as you don't hit a crazy bump there shouldn't be an issue. You also might want to buckle it into the backseat if there's room. Also be sure to press the power button after you remove power from it to discharge any remaining electricity before you get it ready to move. If you want to be extra cautious, you can take out the ram too, but the CPU and cooler can stay on the motherboard and the power supply should be able to stay in the case without any trouble whatsoever.
