I just cannot stand people who project their own issues onto me. Its like:
No, that's not what I said, that's what you took from it.
No, that's not how I said it (text) that's the tone you read it in!!!
Wrote this last night when I couldn't sleep โค
It's so important to put ourselves first, as the classic line goes, 'how can you give from an empty tank?' But when your tank is okay for content, why not give to others. I don't mean disingenuously either, I mean really making an effort with people and being kind. You never know who might need a helping hand, some support, some promo or just anything.
If we all help at least one other person, then we should all be able to receive help right?
Who can you decide to put first this week?
Please send to those who are suicidal. I know that right now, particularly at this time of year, people are feeling extremely low, depressed and searching for a reason to go on. It's January and the rate of suicide is usually higher this month.
I just want to encourage and remind those of you who are feeling insignificant or that you aren't loved or worthy or even you feel no one would care if you weren't here anymore - that isn't true! You are most significant than you realise and there is always hope for something greater around the corner!

Some days when my depression is especially bad I just haven't got the energy or motivation to do anything. Sometimes it lasts for a couple hours, sometimes a couple days and other times its months!!!!
It's every frustrating. And I understand and appreciate that motivation isn't just something that comes (though i would argue that sometimes IT IS) but most of the time you have to work your way up to it.... but even that initial push takes motivation... a vicious cycle... anyway more on the blog.

Writers!!! Is this true for you also?!
Anyone else feel that they were just born to write? That when you are writing, there is just a sense of peace and joy that you can't explain? You can just spend hours writing, be it pen and paper or typing on a document?
Even when I'm feeling emotional or just can't understand my feelings, writing them down just helps me so much as opposed to talking. As though writing releases the emotions from my mind and the energy is transferred onto paper and out of my system.
It's such a blessing to be able to write. A gift that I'm so grateful to have. I might not be very good at it, but it's something that I need in this cold dark world, that helps me live a new day. โ๐ผ๐
Take time to check on your mental health! As the season is changing and things in the world are literally and (figuratively!) getting DARK...
Please just remember to take care of your mind, what you are processing, internalizing, thinking about and meditating on.
A healthy mind, helps to have a healthy life ๐๐

I was thinking this week about how much stuff I have to do and even though it was a lot, it still gave me joy because it is my passion. It is my passion to write...be it self-help articles or fictional short stories! I can just spend hours writing!

I had a Group session today where I had to be completely and unapologetically honest about how ignored and belittled my pain was in a previous session. I was angry and had been angry for the past week but I knew I needed to articulate that anger in a healthy way...which I felt I did. Others said I was brave for speaking up (though I didn't feel very brave). That was a solid for me, however I was left to sit with the fallout of people being upset too. It's hard but I do feel better for speaking out my pain instead of internalizing it like I usually do. I hope the others are okay and I haven't destroyed any friendships but it's definitely growing me as a person, to have to just sit with the uncomfortability of this feeling.
I said that to say, if I spoke in my anger I could have destroyed so much more.
It's okay to be angry, it's okay to feel negative emotions...its what you do with them that matters most.
Are there any of you who have reacted out of emotions and wish you could take it back?

I've literally been struggling with my sleep recently... I've had insomnia for a while now but it's recently gotten apt worse. There are a number of factors why but I know my anxiety is a MAJOR factor.
Do any of you suffer with your sleep and just being able to switch off? What do you do to get some zzz's ๐ด?
