Idk she just like sucks and stuff. Shes part of the establishment and voted for the Iraq War at a time when the majority of the people she represented wanted it after giving a speech warning the Bush Administration to use force as a last resort.

And like I out found last year that she said the word "superpredator" when talking about gang recruiters. That’s obviously racist because anytime anyone is talking about gangs they’re talking about black people because everyone knows only black people are in gangs.

And she spoke in support of her husbands and Democratic congessmen’s policies as First Lady. I mean what kind of First Lady would support her husbands policies?!

Like that crime bill she didn’t vote for that I just heard of last year that implemented a lot of the things I say I fight for in BlackLivesMatter but because it was done through "the system" and included compromises with the Republican controlled congress like tougher sentences.

Sure she didn’t vote for it since she wasn’t an actual politician then, but she supported it. Sure Bernie actually did vote for it and Joe Biden wrote it, but they’re okay because Bernie hates the corporations and Joe’s funny.

She should have completely contradicted Bill and undermined him in public and in the media at a time when he was at his arguably lowest point politically and right before an election. Because symbolic gestures are more important than tangible results, because compromise is for neo liberal capitalist warmongers.

Plus shes beholden to wall street. I don’t know the details, or really anything beyond the memes and few Fusion and Mic articles I skimmed, but from what I understand, the big banks donated millions to her because she said they would be allowed to rule the world and ban coconut oil and Starbucks.

It surely couldn’t be that individual employees donated their own money to her campaign for the same reason anyone else who doesn’t work on wall street donates to campaigns.

Yeah we should all just vote for Jill Stein. She speaks the truth and speaks her mind. I don’t actually know any of her policies but she hates the corporation so she will surely be a good president and win thanks to the many votes she surely will get.

The show being broadcast on Adult Swim likely means more mature themes and perhaps more graphic violence, but the show is sure to have that same sleek yet gritty visuals, action, and setting many of us loved from the original series.

BEN CARSON USES ATLANTA RAPPER FOR NEW CAMPAIGN AD

In an effort reach get young African-Americans energized to vote (for a Republican no less), Ben Carson Campaign spent $150,000 for an ad buy to air on radio stations in Miami, Atlanta, Houston, Detroit, Birmingham, Alabama, Jackson, Mississippi, Memphis, Tennessee and Little Rock, Arkansas, according to ABC News . 

The rapper you hear in the new radio spot is local Atlanta rapper,  “Aspiring Mogul.” He describes himself as a “Christian Republican rapper” as well as a youth minister and  Carson supporter.

The ad is awkward and pretty cheesy, I gotta admit. It sounds like the kind of generic hip hop beat TV shows with mostly white characters use when they need hip hop sounding music for a particular scene. Mogul’s lyrics don’t exactly fill the void left by the paint-by-numbers beat accompanying it.

                                          “Hit the Quan!”

 But if Carson is willing to sacrifice what little swag he currently carries as a way to garner black votes, then it must mean the black vote is still worth something.

There is a lot to criticize about Don Lemon about. A few years back he did an unprofessional thing and said on air what a lot of middle aged black men like him say when it comes to racism. But lately, Lemon has been the scapegoat for a lot of drive by activists even when he is actually just being a professional journalist. 

I watch a lot of news, and I've been watching Don Lemon's reporting since about when he came to CNN, so I'm pretty familiar with his work. He's a  good journalist for the most part. I was actually watching CNN when what a lot of people on social media are talking about (but likely did not yet see) happened and honestly Sunny Hostin was acting ridiculous. What Lemon said last night (unlike some other times)  was actually pretty reasonable and important. 

Don Lemon was brought in to comment on a recent video of school resource officer physically removing a young female student from her desk and handcuffing her when she refused to leave the classroom. Lemon basically said that he found the video itself horrifying, but that he did not feel too comfortable drawing conclusions one way or another until he could get more info on the incident. And that’s when Sunny Hostin and later much of black twitter went in on him. 

The truth is that at the time, all we really did have was the 15 second video. Literally in the 24+ hours since the incident, there have been more videos that have come out showing what happened at different angles (to the point that it shows she was not being thrown across the room but removed from her desk)  as well as more information to provide greater context (she received numerous warnings and orders to leave from the teacher, administrator, and officer before being removed by force). This is not to say that the officer’s actions were justified as I and a lot of people don’t know what is the policy and/or proper procedure in this situation. Also, investigations are still ongoing.

While the investigation is still ongoing by the school, police, and possibly the FBI, it does show why it is important to not be too quick to jump to conclusions. The view Lemon had is not that different that other commentators (including in that exchange between Hostin and Lemon) had. I get it, there are plenty of people (especially lately) who use the “let’s not jump to conclusions” line disingenuously in discussions of police brutality but don't apply the same skepticism to individuals who they may not be sympathetic to. But that does not mean that every person who goes the responsible route and seeks further info before drawing a conclusion is like that. 

It got worse when this started going around on social media:

It’s a petition demanding Don Lemon be removed from CNN because of comments he has made and the petition is strewn with all the sensationalism you would expect from frivolous petitions by drive-by activists. But it gets at a larger problem among people in my age group (Millenials) that has been touched on by other people and seems to be a growing problem. Just because someone says something you disagree with (especially when they are invited to comment on something) does not mean they should be fired. This petition is basically bullying and indirectly trying to discourage dissent. But then Lemon did not even really disagree. He just suspended judgement until he got more info (which is what rational adults are supposed to do).
