7/16 (3rd day)
i’m so sad!! i lost a bunch of photos i took from this day on my camera and i only have a few pictures left.
i have no idea how they ended up getting deleted. i’m so sad but here’s all i got from this day.
we started off by walking in times square and stopping by some restaurant to get some bagels.
i forgot what the place was called. i think it was bagel pop up? i don’t really remember but they included a fuck ton of cheese on my bagel and i was so confused. i ended up wiping more than half off and ate it. it was alright.
after that we stopped by madison square garden and we wanted to go inside the stadium but obviously we couldn’t. we also didn’t know where the knicks shop was at so we didn’t stop there.
after that we walked all the way to soho. we also made some stops while going there to make it worth while.
our first stop was madison square park. it was super hot. it was like 90 degrees but i was still enjoying stuff. i was just sitting down on a bench while listening to music. i was listening to a lot of earl sweatshirt, chase usa, tyler, the creator, redveil, mac miller, d’angelo and portraits of tracy while on the trip and it made the perfect soundtrack.
after we stopped by there. we saw the flatiron building really quick. it looks really stupid. there was also this huge school field trip that was there. at least, i think it was. they all had name tags and everything.
we also went to the friends experience. you know? like the show “friends”.
my sister loves that show and since she does, we decided to go check out the friends experience.
it basically tells you some info about the show, the actors, how they made it. they also take you the sets like the apartments, the café they always go to, and the hallway part.
they also had a bunch of props there too.
i only got one picture there and i didn’t even take any on my digital camera. i really wish i did cause it was pretty cool but at least i got one.
(if i didn’t explain the context you probably wouldn’t even know what this was)
after all that, we finally got to soho.
we stopped by some stores. at first we stopped at nike and i didn’t get anything. still a cool place to see.
we went to ralph lauren and i ended up getting a yankees polo which i wanted for a while. i was going to get it before the trip but never did until i got it over there. the size was xxl and it’s huge on me but i still make it work and after some adjustments it looks alright.
we also stopped by bape and everything there was crazy expensive. i obviously couldn’t get anything but it was still sick to see.
we stopped at golf wang and i got the classic black golf shirt. i probably won’t wear it often but i still like it and it’s the only piece of golf wang i’ll still wear today. golf wang just has that look to it. it’s not good, like at all. it just looks rather nasty than good. the black golf tee with the bold letters and colors still looks good and clean and that’s why it’s the only golf wang clothing i’d wear.
we stopped at this vintage store. it was super all of the sudden. like, my mom just randomly asked “hey wanna check this out?” and we all just agreed and the store was awesome. i really wish i got something but i didn’t really like anything. it looked sick, there was pictures of these people that i look up to all on the walls and it just looked awesome. again, really wish i got something. but, when it comes to clothes, i’m usually gonna get something i can wear often.
really wish i did more at soho. there was so much stores i wanted to check out but obviously i can’t break the bank over there. i always do shit on a budget because i’m broke and my parents don’t want to go broke either.
my mom does say she wants to go back to new york sometime later this year. it sounds like a crazy plan and i don’t even know how we’ll be able to afford that trip. i don’t even think my sister would want to go back to new york since she struggled with the walking a lot. i’d be down for sure, but the possibility is small.
after soho, we hit up canal street and my brother and mom got a bunch of fake shit. it feels so real too. it was mainly louis vutton and it looked very nice. i love louis vutton but obviously i can’t afford it myself. maybe when i’m older though. i didn’t make much pictures at canal street and i really wish i did. even though they’d probably freak out cause it’s illegal to sell fake stuff.
after canal street, we went to chinatown and ate some chinese food and it was amazing. i wish i remembered the name of the restaurant cause it was so good. the workers there were so nice and the food was amazing. we were all able to share our own food because it had this spinny rotating thing and we all put our plates on it and we all shared our food.
this reminds me of the day before. we ate at this italian restaurant and i forgot to say something about it. it was right when the sky was turning all yellow because of the fires from canada. we were eating at this spot and it was amazing. my brother had lobster and i don’t really remember what anyone else had. i got chicken parm and my brother was eyeing my food the whole time. i ended up getting full and i gave it to him and he ate the whole thing right there. the food was amazing and the bread was nice too. forgot to talk about that.
