AroAce Book Characters Database
I found this today and it is literally a godsend gift. It is called the AroAce Database and it is a collection of all the AroAce characters the creators were able to find. The inventories are very detailed and sorted by characters names, not by the stories they appear in, so there might be multiple characters in a single book but they aren't listed together.
The information in the inventories includes for example the imortance of the character to the story, the genre, the story's name, the characters gender and sexual+romantic orientation, the type of rep and many more.
I have been scrolling through this for the past few hours and tried looking up book from it. Sadly, as you'd expect, most of these books are fairly unknown and pretty underground, seeing as aromanticism or asexuality is rarely ever present in popular media. Most of the books I tried looking up were really hard to find because the titles would get confused with a similar, more popular title, there were barely any records of it and a lot of them are only purchasable as eBooks, at least most of the ones I looked up were.
But despite that, it is a great way to find our representation, even though everything else tries to tell us we aren't real.
So to every aro or ace person who reads, LGBTQIA+ peeps who wanna have more representation in their books or people who wanna read more inclusive stories, please check this out.
