im going to come out and say it: isolating is a self-destructive behavior. it might not be as obvious and immediately self-destructive as say, impulsive spending, drug use or risky behaviors, but it gradually decays relationships and can deepen your mental health issues. often, our impulse is to retreat from others and responsibilities for “self care” or to “work on ourselves” and obviously sometimes we need mental health breaks, but there’s a line you cross from “taking a break” to full on neglecting your relationships with others and your social needs that can be incredibly damaging to yourself and others over time

Listening to toddlers try to learn grammar is so fascinating. Half the time she says something "wrong" I'm like, yanno what idk why we don't just say it like that

my one friend always told me that those who are worth connecting with will extend grace to you in the times where you didn’t speak or act perfectly so don’t be too afraid of being weird or having a social hiccup

you have to forgive the printer because it's one of the most machine-ass machines we interact with on a day to day basis. that thing says kerchunk. hardly anything says kerchunk these days. you can't get mad at her when she kerchunks up a little.
