Listening to the radio while they report on the SCOTUS ruling yesterday that states can ban specifically trans girls and women from girls/womens sports programs. The people they interview: a trans boy with his cis mother and a trans man. The trans man says one of the things that hampers progress is "no one talks to us." Idk man the radio station didn't talk to any trans women, they talked to you, a trans man. Seems like they are pretty willing to talk to you and not the people this ruling actually directly affects.
feel the need to add: trans men, if you are given these types of opportunities, to speak on trans rights (or losses thereof) over a trans woman who is more affected by them than you, it is your *responsibility* to decline and, if youâre able, suggest a trans woman instead. if you are asked to be in a leadership position in a queer/trans/progressive organization and there are no trans women in leadership positions there, it is your *responsibility* to either decline in favor of a trans woman or decline until they bring in a trans woman.

RĂhanna Kelver, a bartender and trans rights advocate in Laramie, has been charged with aggravated assault and possession of a deadly weapon with unlawful intent after a 13 September 2025 confrontation outside the Crowbar & Grill, whereshe worked. Kelver could be sentenced to up to 15 years in prison if convicted on both charges.
Kelver says one man in a group of men across the street from her started shouting homophobic and transphobic insults at her before the man allegedly shoved her to the ground in a downtown crosswalk, as reported by The Laramie Reporter.

Ky Peterson, a Black trans man from Georgia, was also arrested and imprisoned for killing his rapist in self-defense.
Kelver's attacker has also been identified as a member of Patriot Front.
Kelver corroborated a report identifying the attacker as Scott Wayne Durham, a Patriot Front member from Aurora, CO. First unmasked as Patryck âScottâ Durham, he has posted fascist, white supremacist, and Patriot Front propaganda since high school, operating under the online handles âKevin â CO,â âFedposter,â âWallaceCarden,â and numerous others. Durham was barred from his high school graduation after being unmasked in 2022, and in 2023 left enrollment at the University of Colorado Boulder after a flyering campaign alerted students to his history. On June 10, 2025 he changed his name (p. 26) to Scott Wayne Durham and is now listed as an honor roll student at the University of Wyoming, located in Laramie.
So whether they know it or not, the prosecutors are helping a Neo-Nazi who tried to commit a hate crime.

Dear video essay creators. A video analysis is when you analyze a piece of media. No no look at me. A summary, no matter how thorough, is not an analysis. An analysis requires you to draw conclusions about the media such as authorial intent, real-world parallels, discussion about themes/worldbuilding/character motivation, and so much more. You have to stop summarizing something and saying thatâs analysis. The Gaylors are doing more critical analysis than you. Is that who you want to lose to? The gaylors?
I would actually go as far as to say that MOST abuse is unintentional. I think most people will go through their lives without ever experiencing intentional abuse. People are abusive because they're selfish, because they're stressed, because they care more about what society thinks they should do than the impacts of their actions on their children and partners, because they think what they're doing is correct, because they've made it make sense in their own heads, because they think they can fix their victims, they think they can fix their relationships, they think they can stop you from leaving, they think they can make you a better partner to them, they think that means you need to do what they want. We've sort of constructed mental illness in a way that doing this shit to other people counts as a form of mental illness because it is anti social behavior in the literal senseâ it is behavior that causes social harm.
I don't say any of this to excuse it. I think everyone needs to be more aware of this because if you think abuse has to be intentional you will never realize you are capable of abusive behavior. You will never realize you are being shitty to the people you love, because YOU know what you mean, YOU know you don't mean any harm. But you're doing harm. You need to pay attention to the impact you have on other people, and you need to do it all the time, Especially when you feel least capable of doing so. Sorry! You live in a society. Get your head out of your ass.
