This blog offers polls about “blorbos”, or fictional characters which you are attached to and really love. All polls are made by the blog owner unless otherwise stated, at which point we will credit the submitter or anon if they wish not to be named. We recommend you read through all the answers before answering yourself, as we have similar answers or multiple may be true. We want to make sure you can vote the best option possible and not be disappointed when you realize a different answer fit better.

guys i wanna share my favorite firefox extensions just because. i want to! so here
so first we have our bare essentials, UBlock Origin and Privacy Badger. the best adblocker youll ever have that even works on youtube (which sometimes yt cracks down on it, just reload over and over or switch to a private browsing tab and paste your video to watch it there with no ads, works every time and in a day or two it'll be working just fine again), and badger blocks hidden trackers while you're browsing
Port Authority blocks malicious websites from scanning your computer
Privacy Possum fucks up any commercial data a site gathers from your computer and reports back false info instead of your real info
ClearURLs gets rid of all the tracking elements in your URLs, and instead just gives you the straight site
Consent-O-Matic automatically handles (or at least minimmizes) the cookie pop-ups you have to agree or decline to, and declines everything except what's necessary for the site to run (and you can customize it as well)
Cookie AutoDelete does what it sounds like it does. When you close your tab, it gets rid of any unnecessary cookies from the site
Decentraleyes protects against tracking through "free", centralized, content delivery
LocalCDN is a fork of Decentraleyes that emulates content delivery networks and prevents 3rd party tracking
Location Guard hides your geographic location from websites, or reports a fake one. It doesn't replace a VPN, but prevents location tracking from being too precise by adding noise
CanvasBlocker and Chameleon help stop JavaScript from fingerprinting your visited sites and spoofs your info respectively
TrackMeNot protects you against search data profiling by giving false searches to the sites requesting information, similar to possum
FlagFox puts a little country flag in your searchbar telling you where the website's server is located
Anti-Adblock Blocker is what it sounds like, it blocks the majority of common anti-adblock solutions
SponsorBlock and Return Youtube Dislike skip sponsored segments on yt and bring back the dislike stats on videos
Hide Google AI Overviews, Slop Evader, and Microslop get rid of the annoying AI overview that's not even right more than half the time at the top of your searches, removes most AI results, and will change every instace of the word Micros*ft on your computer to Microslop even in youtube subtitles
Malwarebytes Browser Guard has saved me from malicious links a handful of times, and doesn't flag every little thing ever (Malwarebytes is great to have on your computer in general, it can scan your computer for anything unsafe and quarantine anything that is, for free. you can get antivirus too if you pay)
Chrome Mask some websites are little pieces of shit and don't want us to have nice things, so if they only work for chrome, just turn this on and boom baby your site works it thinks you're on chrome
Nitter Redirect if you're like me and refuse to get on twitter but still want to be able to view links your favorite people send you, this lets you look at them without making an account
Ghostery - Privacy Adblocker helps take care of anything your other adblockers or cookie handlers might have missed, and helps speed up your browsing experience
Animalese Typing 10/10 no notes
CustomTube restores old Youtube UI in case you miss it
This list's been in the works for a while. Here's the things I find most useful for getting started with HTML, along with every free template I could find. If you have any others that you think I should include, please leave a comment on my site!
Easy copy-paste for common HTML stuff
Sadgrl's HTML Cheatsheet covers everything useful!
Learning The Ropes
I'm no expert, I'm still learning myself. But one thing I can tell you: HTML isn't as hard to learn as it may seem on the outside! I was originally very hesitant to dive in because of ADHD and other things, but I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to pick up on stuff through a mix of reading tutorials and trying things on my own. Dive in!!
W3Schools: The ULTIMATE resource when it comes to this stuff, you NEED W3schools in your life! They have easy to understand resources like tutorials, which usually come with editable live examples so you can understand what changing one part of the code would do. Resources are available for HTML, CSS, Javascript, SQL, etc!
Free Templates
Sadgrl's Layout Builder: A browser layout builder that lets you somewhat customize a layout for your Neocities! And of course, you can then edit it and further customize your site.
PetraPixel's Layout Generator: A layout maker with lots of accessibility options and a very clean interface.
Wikitable: Comprehensive and fun layout to make a pseudo-Wiki page in HTML!
44x50: A user who's made a really awesome Wiki-style template for storing information about your OCs and has more templates on the way.
Templaterr: Some great and very basic layouts, excellent for learning as you go.
Eggramen: A bunch of CSS stylesheets with simple HTML test pages. Has layouts for some specific types, too, like fanlistings, webcomics, etc.
Rarebit: The most popular free layout for a Neocities webcomic, and for good reason! It's really good.
Repth's Themes: A whole bunch of great layouts.
Angel's Layouts: Some layouts and then some simple base codes.
Almost Sweet: Sweet templates!
Neothemes: 2 free layouts.
Adilene: Several cute and compact layouts for Neocities, along with other code bits.
Zonelets: A simple and free engine for a blog.
MyRoom: Super cute simple layout with a calendar.
Silly Space: Aesthetic 2 sidebar site layout.
Teppy's Layouts: Several really aesthetically pleasing layouts.
Theme-Hunter is intended for Tumblr theme and page codes, but the vast majority of page codes can be used off Tumblr and will look pretty nice! (Not any pages which inherently depend on Tumblr of course, like all-in-ones and following pages.) Just make sure to read any TOS provided by the code's creator, as some people specifically don't want their codes used for this, some explicitly allow it, etc.
Even More Stuff
#html and #neocities: Tags on my blog for HTML templates and Neocities templates/resources I've reblogged.
Codepen: A site for people to share and show off their projects in various languages. Not everything is free to take, but a lot of it is. Check the licenses/description and stuff, and you can find some really interesting website templates and code snippets. It also comes with a browser code editor to let you test things live. (I made a list of some of my favorites once.)Sadgrl's Webmaster Resources: Huge list of useful resources.
Loveberry: Borders, a calendar, and other code snippets.
PetraPixel's Widgets: Last.fm and Status.cafe snippets.
Createblog: A vintage free layout website which is still up as of 2025, but doesn't seem to have been updated since 2012. You can find free HTML and CSS layouts from 2009-2012, and the majority of them could totally still be used, but you need to know a tiny bit of HTML so you can understand how to increase the size of things to make it accessible and sized for a modern day resolution, along with any other small tweaks it may need. I've used layouts from here a couple times and fixed them up on my own and found it very fun.
Please enjoy!
This is a post version of the HTML page on my Neocities, which I will be continually updating, so check there :)
