This is the world's smallest squirrel species. Its entire adult length, including the tail, is less than 14cm (5.5 inches).
It can also weigh as little as 12 grams (0.42 oz) which is lighter than a AAA battery.
These adorable little weirdos are found only on the islands of Borneo, Sumatra, and Banggi, in Southeast Asia.

Van Gogh’s Starry Night would not have been possible without it as he couldn’t afford the natural pigments.
This painting is amazing, not because of the subject matter, but because of the colour.
In this digital age it is easy to forget how accessibility and even lack of certain pigment has shaped art history.
