the song eight letters by take that! I've been contemplating changing it since I'm not as take that-pilled currently as I was last year, but I do kind of think it's a genuinely lovely song anyway jklfajlkdajfsjkljd
2. Latest movie? What did you think?
the secret of life of walter mitty. didn't love it or anything but it was a cute enough feel good film!
3. What are you looking forward to right now?
going on a trip to bath this weekend to see some school friends so rlly looking forward to that! and then seeing leslie odom jr in hamilton towards the end of the month which i'm soooooo hyped for it's gonna be unreal lol
4. If you could do anything at all today, what would it be?
hmmmm I'm hoping to get some drawing done before I have to go catch my train to baff, so I guess that?
if we're talking alcohol then cider is my go to! as for non alcoholic I'm always partial to a bubble tea
don't reallyyyyy have one lol. like I wash it and that's about it
7. Favourite way to travel? Is there another way you want to try?
probably train! coach is a close second tho I like that my luggage is out of sight and out of mind
8. Favourite month and why?
I do love july despite the currently quite horrible weather! I work in a school so it's when my summer holiday starts and it's usually the time of year when I'm going on trips and doing things with friends and stuff like that!
9. Favourite time of day and why?
probably the evening! I feel like I'm a bit of a night owl and I get most stuff done in the evenings
10. Do you play or follow any sports?
I follow football when the world cup or the euros are on but I don't really wanna talk about that rn.
11. What kind of music has been stuck in your head lately?
really bad day to be asking me this it's been fucking hymns. specifically be thou my vision and christ be our light. this is not by choice to be clear this is an occupational hazard of working in a christian school.
13. Something you learned recently?
I watched this video about controversial bbc trailers from the early 2000s this morning at the recommendation of @caleb-monday and had a lot of fun learning about some extremely cursed ad campaigns! I'm having a bit of a moment of being crazy about public media if you hadn't noticed so this was really beautiful to me
14. What could you talk about if you give a TED talk on anything?
wellllll I did write my master's thesis on portrayals of asexuality and aromanticism in TV and not to toot my own horn but I've done multiple presentations on it, so probably that!
15. Piece of advice you find yourself giving a lot?
I feel like including any advice I have to give to the teens I work with as part of my job is cheating hmmmmmmm. idk most of my friends are also in the living with family trenches so I do find myself having to say "You are not being unreasonable or selfish your family are in fact insane" a lot. which idk if that counts as advice but it is the first thing I thought of.
16. Piece of advice you would give yourself 5 years ago?
basically any advice I would want to give to 2021 Ifer is far too petty and far too directly related to my third year of undergrad extended interpersonal nightmare/mental health crisis to share her. imagine something YOU think I needed to hear here if you knew me back then.
17. Do you believe in any luck or superstition? Do you carry any lucky items or follow any rules?
I do a little bit! I don't take it super seriously but I try to avoid saying things I see as tempting fate, I touch wood for luck, and of course I do have that one printout of a children of earth promo photo I keep in my work lanyard for luck LOL.
18. Are you musical? (Play any instruments? Sing?) Would you perform for an audience?
I can play a tiiiiiiiny bit of piano and if you like. handed me a trumpet i could probably remember my scales, but I haven't played anything seriously in about ten years
19. Write, type or speak?
generally type I guess? tho I don't exactly mind speaking I just find it easier to get my thoughts in order when typing.
20. What do you wish someone would ask you?
I was gonna say I'd love to be asked to do more art related stuff at work but tbf I actually keep volunteering to do this and also now sometimes getting asked to do art related stuff that I can't actually commit to. torment nexus. anyway outside of work ummmmmmmm. torchwood I guess it's the main thing on my mind atm. or my opinions on steven spielberg's disclosure day bc boy howdy do I have a lot and seemingly no one else in the world except me and one single friend of mine have seen this movie.
