Frequently I encounter non Native folks who tell me they think reservations are some form of reparatoins to Natives from the US government. I even had someone close to me tell me they thought reservations were places to “reserve” our cultures.

Where I’m from (South Dakota) reservations were concentration camps where they sent us to die after they stole and colonized all of the land every US citizen occupies. In the early SD Rez days our ppl had to get permission from district agents (white settler men) to get food, fix our homes, or even leave our community to travel to another community on our Rez to visit relatives. We couldn’t hunt cuz they killed millions of our buffalo. If we didn’t get permission from the white settler agent we couldn’t eat, fix our homes or visit relatives because we would be violating US law & could be arrested. Also our cultures & ceremonies were illegal under US law until the Indian Religious Freedom Act in 1978.

So plz educate the ppl you love and care abt because everyone in the USA is living in an illegal settler colony, Indigenous ppl survived their genocide & we’re her to say these settlers never gave af abt us & never will.

-His wife ditched him and asked for 900k a year,

-He was sexually assaulted which he said kicked him into a deep depression

-He stated that the stunts from the 3rd Mummy movie completely destroyed his body and he was in and out of the hospital for 7 years even having to get surgery to repair his vocal cords.

-He apparently blamed himself for all this which only worsened his depression.

Baby bird season is incoming and I’d like to remind everyone that birds do not have a significant sense of smell. Bird parents will not reject birdlets because you have handled them.

If you see smol birbs with few or no feathers on the ground, you can safely put them back into their nest, bird parents will still care for them.

If you see smol birbs with some or most feathers on the ground, please leave them there, as bird parents are probably nearby watching and feeding.

nakey bird = accidentally fell out, is cold and scared, put back in nest! if you can’t reach the nest, try to put it on a wide branch or fork so predators can’t get at it as easily.

scruffy feather bird = starting to try the fly thing, not very good at it. only put in nest/branch if predators abound, i.e. you have four outdoor cats and they’re licking their chops.

fluffy feather bird = smol fly guy! do nothing. can probably get away from predators and will flip its shit if you pick it up.

I find it interesting that people are mad about Fietro. I think they forgot that IT WAS JUST A THEORY. Like I get it, with Evan Peters showing up and him having speed, but this is Marvel we're talking about. This is Disney we're talking about. Did y'all really think they would introduce the X-Men IN A SHOW when they could wait and make hella bank from an actual movie (Madness of the Multiverse)? I get that it's wasted potential, but this show was about Wanda's journey of coping with grief and untreated trauma. It was never about the X-Men or the Multiverse. We still have the rest of Phase 4 for that.

Also yeah the finale was underwhelming, but it's also a part of a much larger project. There's never going to be a satisfying ending because each character is still going to continue to live and interact with each other in the movies. They'll reach their definitive ends in the movies. These shows are like a side dish or a little snack to curb our appetite for the time being.

Your body heat will warm that room if you remain in ONLY that room. You want to use anything you can to add insulation between you, and the outside. Hence covering and blocking all floors, windows, and walls. Now isn't the time to have a clean house, it's the time to survive.
