it really bothers me how people are cheering daemon backhanding ulf and saying how he's just a peasant who needs to learn his place. it was similar in s2 and the fan reactions to the dinner table. ulf is a loudmouth and arrogant and annoying but at the end of the day it was a man with immense privilege and wealth and stature who has never truly answered for his crimes and never will striking a man who has never experienced this world, the customs, or the expectations of nobility. these are men who have never had enough to eat and have struggled all their lives, suddenly presented with opulence and disgusting wealth and rules they don't even know. they say the dragons are gods. well these men who don't even have last names are given the power of gods and you expect them to not feel like they are equals to the royals who have the power of a god?
