once you read entitlement 100 times over as being the new fun word to use in arguments against fanworks that are created regardless of cc boundaries, it's hard not to feel like these regurgitated fan statements are not actually "really well written". who is entitled? What do you mean? Do you not feel that creators wanting control over the actions of their audience is not saying they feel entitled to that?

I also think the use of the word 'violate' in reference to these 'boundaries' is trying to reverse-engineer some psych101 'witnesses of a car crash estimate collision speed to be higher where more extreme words are used to describe the incident' (loftus and palmer, 1974) shit. it feels intentionally evocative of something more sinister than the reality of what's occuring here.

lastly I think creating a false dichotomy of 'what matters more, your ships or the creators mental health?' is cowardly especially irt to them saying they won't be changing anything about their attitude and behaviour so it's fully on you to cater to this. by asking fans to consider the mental health of creators in making and sharing art, it also invites the very kind of bastardised parasociality that the people who use this argument will use against fans creating this 'boundary-breaking' art. it feels like what they really want to say is that the attachment to characters and disregard of creator feelings is not prosocial, and therefore... parasocial, I guess.
