Long Mane Pony Fun, aka LMPF, is a small pony riding academy and education centre located just west of Bywater, in the wider area of Westfarthing, The Shire. Serving all towns within Westfarthing, LMPF is the only remaining independent institution in Middle-earth at which the ancient game of Pony Ball is taught; a traditional hobbit birthday game, Pony Ball involves throwing and catching between groups of three or more, whilst riding ponies. Hobbit historians believe that the game originally had an aim and a points system, however modern iterations focus primarily on dexterity, balance and throwing style.
