It's small and cramped and dark and that's so so scary, but he can hear Grace breathe right above him and he can put his hand on Rocky's enclosure and it's so warm. Rocky's likes it because it's easier to watch them both when they're sleeping on the same side and because Simon curls up against the ball in his sleep. In the morning Grace thinks that Simon's already up and about so he's not in danger of scaring Grace, he just has to wait until Grace leaves to get himself up and about. Eventually Rocky asks about it, in front of them both, and Simon has to come up with an explanation that's good enough for those sad concerned eyes and a hand still nervous about imposing when it hovers over his own

not using AI genuinely feels like the rest of the world is experiencing some kind of mass amnesia. if someone says they never use it, the immediate response is that can't be true because "everyone" uses it to write their emails or answer their questions. saw a comment suggesting that not using chatgpt to write an essay is "like the 90s". girl I graduated in 2021 and we weren't doing that! how is it that everyone has suddenly forgotten that they were entirely capable of doing these things all by themselves for their entire lives up until the past few years!! am I going crazy!!!

I think "fuck you, I hate your work and I will do it myself and I will do it better" is a really funny and epic sentiment. i started publishing poetry because an ex boyfriend of mine was publishing really ass poetry in a bunch of journals and I was like "Jesus christ, this is garbage, I could do that, and I could do it better." now I have a page in the Academy of American Poets and I've published a full length collection and his website says "former poet." You should win by succeeding way harder than they do. Spite is a legitimate energy source.
