So. Hi. I listened to the off broadway album of Hadestown a couple weekends ago, then proceeded to dig a bit on youtube for a slime tutorial.
Insane. GUYS. Incredible cast, love the set, AND THE LYRICS???? Don’t get me started. Yes I mourn Persephone’s verse on Chant (reprise)/Chant II like my dead lover. DONT WE ALL???? I just think it’s so interesting to see how the Musical has evolved throughout its time.
Also what was uniquely horrifying about the off broadway set is that when Eurydice turns she doesn’t get lowered into the ground. INSTEAD. SHE HAS TO TURN AND WALK AWAY???? Evil!!! EVIL!!!!! Also instead of it being: “It’s you.” “It’s me.” THEY MIRROR PERSEPHONE AND HADES WITH THE “You’re early.” “I missed you” WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK.
Going to do a little series with the verses from Wedding song…ignore that I’m starting with the trees I KNOW THATS NOT THE ORDER I was just desperate to draw these two. I think I’m coming for reeva next….so keep an eye out for that….
