The baby that was cooking here is nearly 8 weeks old now and my yoga looks mighty different these days. I get on my mat for 10-15 minutes of asana just to feel my body, wrong things out, and start to reawaken some of the muscles that haven’t been used in a while. My practice continues to be something that mostly happens beyond the mat. As a new mom, I’m working on being fully present and conscious, cultivating patience, pausing and breathing, and filtering through all those new-mom feelings of not-enough-ness and shame.
