Btw I've been writing a serial novel on RoyalRoad, Cheating in the Game of Gods <(link) Imma give yall the public description from the page:
Brain-damaged Savant, Horatio “Cyclops or Cy” Bergmann, lives a life of spite and crime and dies a fitting death. Expecting nothingness, he is surprised to learn that souls do exist, and so do afterlifes. He now has a choice as to where his soul goes. Several heavens, a few hells, even oblivion if he so wishes. But what catches his eye is the last option; the Game of Gods. A chance for souls to struggle and strengthen themselves to the point of godhood, and ascend to create your own little slice of reality, or die trying.
A habitual fight-taker and pathologically incapable of accepting authority, Cy takes the challenge. Once within, he immediately starts receiving outside help from a powerful yet sketchy source; himself. Cy is cheating in the Game of Gods.
What to expect:
-Stat and inventory free system based LitRPG, explained in canon
-Unhinged and complicated plot points
-Cavalier, smart-ass MC with unique perspective
-Multiple perspectives and a large cast of major/minor characters
-Expansive world
-Humorous narrative style, with occasional emotional depth
-Time travel, SO much time travel
Been having a lotta fun writing it. It's got the flaws that come with web serials, not nearly as much editing for one, but I'm proud of it. Having a much easier time with it than the romance novels I'd written before. The tone flows easier for me and I get to use fuckshit similes all the time.
I'm enjoying making stupid ass chapter titles from an out of context line in the chapter. Like Chapter 9: Bathroom at an IBS Conference, Chapter 12: Waiter, there's soup in my fly, or Chapter 21: Axe-errands. Errands with an Axe
Wanted to share. Thank you to everyone who reads and reblogs.
