The Garo: Taiga movie was REALLY good and scratched an itch that I just realized I was not getting from the latest Ryuga series.

(It's not bad, but the pacing feels... weirdly off, and a little rushed sometimes)

Having watched the last episode and comparing it to the movie, I think the real difference is that the movie had some actual real sets, while it seems that the entire last season was filmed on a greenscreen.
