I need trans women who transitioned later in life to be like 200% more chill with me having come out and started transition in my early teens. I can take a couple "oh wow I wish I'd had the chance to do that" or "damn I wish my egg cracked that early" but there's really a limit to it and way too many other tgirls hit that limit with me way too fast. Bringing it up again and again, minimizing my other struggles by saying "well at least you transitioned early haha", constantly using it as a reason to put themselves down. FUCKING STOP. I'm a person! I had my own issues with transition! It was not sunshine and rainbows. I was still ostracized and bullied, outside of hormones and pronouns I was not that supported by my family, I fucking detransitioned for three years. Transitioning early did not make all my problems go away, it just meant I had to face those problems when I was a child in an abusive and neglectful home rather than an adult who has already established themselves in the world.
I got told that I "have perpetual-fifteen-year-old face" when I told someone how early I transitioned. That's fucking weird.
And like I know. I KNOW I'm lucky. I've never had to shave. My voice isn't that deep. I'm "youngshit" or whatever the hell the 4trans girls are saying these days. I'm not saying I have it worse, I'm just saying that my life wasn't perfect the way a lot of girls seem to think, and I need y'all to be normal about me.
As trans healthcare improves and as we get more kids access to it, you're going to have to deal with a lot of very pretty young women who are younger than you, and got on E earlier. We gotta get more normal about that. Can you please start with me.
