A connection to the Goddess.
Witchy story time! (Warning its kinda a long post!)
So since I began this journey into becoming Wiccan and delving into Witchcraft i have always connected to Greek Deities. Especially since the beginning I felt very connected to Artemis. Even during one of my meditations i had a vision of an owl and a fox and then i turned and i saw a feminine face with beautiful flowy long black hair. I immediately thought that was my sign that Artemis had acknowledged me. Although the vision didn’t really make sense since neither the fox nor the owl connected to Artemis but i didn’t think much of. I still feel extremely close to Artemis.
As time has gone on I have also been thinking a lot of Persephone. She constantly pops into my head and thinking of her makes me smile. So i thought hey i can just work with her as well why not. I was born in the spring so i figured maybe thats why i feel connected to her as well.
Since the meditation vision I have been seeing owls EVERY WHERE. Tbh I didn’t even like owls like that and then all of a sudden they started popping up and im like “omg look and the cute big eyed feather ball!!” But what really weirded me out was that i had recently cleaned off my night side table of everything but my salt lamp. literally the very next day i look at my table and there is this little gold owl earring. i asked everyone if they happen to put it there since its not mine. everyone denied that they had anything to do with it. So i was like ok which deity is reaching out to me. So i turn to google and the results showed Athena. So i clicked the link and it gave me some info on Athena and her connection to owls. and it explained that she's the goddess of wisdom and strategic warfare along with a lot of other things. But I had also read that she can represent the Crone in the Triple Moon Goddess.
And just like that it hit me. Each of the Greek Goddess I’ve been feeling a pull towards is each phase of the Triple moon goddess! Persephone representing the maiden. She was one of the youngest goddesses, she is the goddess of spring and fertility. Artemis representing the Mother. She is a moon goddess, goddess of the hunt and of child birth! And lastly Athena representing the Crone. Goddess of wisdom and warfare and in some cases even death. After realizing this i knew in my core that this was true. and i am so excited to start working with my goddesses!
[I understand not everyone feels this way or even agrees that this is correct. But everyone practices differently and all i can say is practice what feels right.]
Blessed be witches!
