I don’t know who needs to hear this but having doubts about your practice is totally normal and actually beneficial.
Questioning everything is intelligence.
Embrace the Satyr life!
Leave the locking in, monk modes, or whatever other miserable thing is being pushed on you in the gutters! Enjoy the pleasures of this life, and feel the ecstasy in your heart at seeing tiny little things, like a flower you like, or a cloud that just makes you smile because... it does! You're allowed to do this, and it is divine!
THE SATYR SUMMER IS UPON US
it would probably be blasphemous to call this a prayer rug but damned if that's not what it looks like to me, a pagan prayer rug(!), blessed be to all and to all a good night

Maybe I’m a bit naive but I don’t personally believe trickster spirits exist in the way we think of them. I think people misunderstand who they’re communicating with, or push their biases and expectations onto them, etc, but I don’t believe there are entities that purposely mislead you (in Hellenic Polytheism, at least). At most, there are entities that might find amusement in confusing you, but I wouldn’t call them trickster spirits. Maybe it’s because I view trickster spirits as malicious entities, and I don’t believe that Hellenic entities would necessarily act maliciously towards their worshippers, but yeah
That’s just a little rambly thought for today. I personally have never experienced what someone would typically describe a trickster spirit as in my pagan journey, and it’s entirely possible that I’m just lucky, but I find all of my confusing results with deity communication came from me by letting bias seep into my results. I feel like a lot of others also experience this and assume it’s a malicious entity trying to ruin their relationship with a god, when in fact it’s just that they misinterpreted their results in some way
Maybe this is a hot take, I don’t know. I speak for Hellenic Polytheism primarily, I know some religions have canon “trickster” entities (whether that’s what they’re called or not). But I’ve never come across any resources stating that malicious trickster entities exist in Helpol like they’re described in modern witchcraft/pagan spaces
Veiling exists in many religions and cultures, and covering your hair for pagan spirituality is not automatically cultural appropriation. Pagan veiling is usually a personal devotional practice tied to modesty, grounding, protection, ritual, or connection with deities and traditions. Appropriation comes from mocking, stereotyping, or taking from closed practices without respect — not from respectfully covering your head in a general sense. Context, intention, and respect matter.
