INTRODUCTION & RULES
If you haven’t already read the description, this blog is for all your favorite characters…but a little to the left!
What does that mean?
See, characters that are “relatable” (i.e white, cis, het, able-bodied) are prioritized and guarded like some kind of weird animated treasure. This means that real people, who want real representation and respect, are shoved aside in order to maintain nostalgia and their idea of how a fictional world should be.
So this blog is for headcanons and redesigns that allow these minorities to see themselves in characters. This also allows me to practice drawing more diverse pieces, and, honestly, to practice in general!
So please, suggest a character that you want to see drawn just a little to the left, and how so. I’d love to hear from you!
Rules:
1. No, I will not draw minority characters as white, cis, able-bodied, etc. Why? Well, that would kind of defeat the purpose, wouldn’t it? You have plenty of characters to choose from. Don’t be greedy.
2. If I draw something wrong or in poor taste, please let me know. I am still learning about things like clothes, features, and devices, which means I could very well make a mistake!
3. Don’t send the same ask more than once. Yes, I can tell. Yes, I fucking hate that shit. Yes, I will immediately delete BOTH your asks if you do that.
4. I use all pronouns, which means you literally can’t mess up! Lefty’s the name, and you may use it to address me.
5. I prefer animated stuff, and will very rarely draw realistically. So if you send an ask like “House with a glucose monitor”, chances are that I won’t draw it.
