One thing that always confused me about what "my" sect of Christianity taught in schools was that the best thing for a women to be was a mother, but men are supposed to be- and only ones allowed to be- pastors. Ah, yes, arguably, the people who are supposed to raise the child in faith, guide the child in faith, give the first exposure of faith to the children, the "natural nurturers" are the ones who shouldn't be allowed to nurture a man's faith anymore after a certain point because it's "holding authority over a man." When it comes to the thing that's most important that you nurture, naturally, it should be taken over by the "non-nurtureres." Flawless logic.
