Gem figures early on that, after Xisuma and Doc send out a message to the hermits explaining the deviancy phenomenon, the androids will eventually become their own people while retaining their memories from before, so she likes to spend lots of time with the pre-deviants to chat and assimilate them to the server they’ll eventually get to call their own home :3

this might have already been answered, but who is android false given to?? the drawing from yesterday makes it seem like she was given to gem, but bc she entered later i'm not sure. i kinda remember being said that she was given to ren but i don't know where that memory came from???
also, i absolutely ADORE your art!!!. i swear in this month i've been opening your blog at least twice a day to see if you've posted. extremely normal behaviour from my part /j
Yes, False is Gem's partnered android! DBHC began as a season 8 au, which is when Gem (and Pearl, who Impulse was partnered with) joined, so it all checks out :]
ALSO TY!!! I'm so glad, I've also been having so much fun doing the hermit a day stuff :D it's getting me through a tiny artblock while i chip away at some larger background dbhc projects >:3 so ty for the words of support and encouragement!! <3
Are the ones who were damaged in moon big the only androids around then or no?
If you take a look at the timeline, all of the androids currently on hermitcraft by the time the moon crashed into hermitcraft were: Doc, [activated some time between seasons 7 and 8] Etho, Mumbo, Tango, Impulse [all activated together at the very start of the season], Wels, False, and Joe [Activated a month or so into the season], and Cub [activated towards the mid-end of the season]. So out of the 9 androids, 6 of them were damaged in some way by the end of the season—not necessarily during the moon crash (etho’s cracks came from his deviation and he shut down at least a month or so before the server crashed, and Wels is seen with that face scar well before the moon starts getting bigger), though many of them (Cub, Tango, Joe, Mumbo) did end up injured amidst their “escape”s.
Impulse and False (as of what I have planned currently anyway!) are the only two androids who manage to start Season 9 with minimal injuries (and getting away scot free even though all of their other friends sustained injuries makes them feel really normal I’m sure).
