Disclaimer: This blog is completely neutral and does not claim a syscourse stance. We believe there's a lot to be gained from both sides of the community. Our posts are in-good-faith and meant to stir up honest conversation in all syscourse stances and beliefs.
I understand a LOT of anti-endo sentiment and honestly share a few of the beliefs; the endo community can be harmful and spread misinformation about CDDs, they have a tendency to talk over CDDs in certain spaces, some are pro-harassment, some believe in FMSF and Grey Faction rhetoric, etc. Such things are why we can't identify as pro-endo.
The one argument I cannot understand is "Endos are faking a serious traumatic disorder."
Let me explain: From a completely neutral standpoint, people who fake things don't use terminology away from what they're faking. People faking disorders just say they have those disorders, they don't make up new words. If someone was faking a CDD, they would simply just say they have a CDD. So combining that with the vehement insistence from the vast majority of endos that they do NOT have a CDD and are removed from most of that experience, how do you defend saying they're faking our disorder?
