CW endo discourse
Hey I’ve just figured out my stance on Endogenic systems since I wasn’t aware of the concept before and don’t understand why they get hate.
It just seems to be a different approach to plurality as a spiritual ideal or form of identity? I’m interested in knowing why anyone has an issue with it since it doesn’t seem to be hurting anyone? They aren’t necessarily invading plural/system spaces imo since they are plural. Disorder specific communities and endo identity are different things I’ll say though.
Please don’t take this in bad faith.
they are the result from a hate group, and mainly, I have an issue with them forcing themselves on CDD spaces. you can also see on pluralpedia that they have labels that are essentially made to mock CDD systems (mockgenic, mcdonaldsgenic, sysmedgenic)
as well as harassing trauma victims by creating insults about them being victims of trauma (traumascum, for example)
and simply, there is no proof of them existing in the first place, no scientific proof of why someone could be a system without trauma, because a system forms when trauma causes the brain to create barriers between different alters, and those are what causes splitting (VERY BAD DESCRIPTION OF IT. I'M NOT A DOCTOR)
you can have your own opinion and I don't have a problem with being asked why I feel the way I do, but also I'm not the best person for it since I can't explain myself as well as others do. @/anti-willo-miku and @/anti-willo-solivan are my personal favorites when it comes to their knowledge on it so I suggest you check them out instead
I don't want them to interact with me because if you are not a system because of trauma, I'm not interested in your experiences because they're essentially different from mine, and I don't want to be compared, it very much makes me uncomfortable that something that I see as a consequence of something that ruined my life is for someone something that "just happens".
I used to be pro-endo, but endos are extremely predatory in how they are when someone suspects plurality, and they barely ever acknowledge that someone may have trauma at all.
Being unable to remember your trauma is one of the main symptoms of CDDs, I understand why some people would think they don't have any.
but considering how big their community is, would they not have anything that's a bit more reliable as proof than ccards or tumblr blogs? most of the sources I've been given are either those or some cherry picked parts of larger studies on CDD systems. Or a common misconception of the DSM V, which is a DIAGNOSTIC manual, and states that if someone is not bothered by their multiplicity, they shouldn't be diagnosed with DID (or OSDD). That is because if someone is not already bothered by their possible disorder, a diagnosis will not bring anything positive, and quite the opposite can cause the worsening of someone's symptoms because in your head, if you know something is "wrong", you'll start feeling it much more. It's basically placebo effect but on the negative side.
And also, just think very logically with me for a second. IF there is a form of multiplicity that doesn't come from trauma, it would still be considered a neurodivergency of sorts. Because that's what neurodivergency essentially is, any variation of what the average brain functions. It doesn't matter if youd born with it (like autism is something you're born with, too, for example), as many endos claim, or if you develop it later in life (like CDDs). It would still be considered a neurodivergency because it affects someone's life from a neurological way. And the fact endos claim the opposite kinda goes to show they don't know what the fuck they're talking about.
As for the history of tulpamancy, this post explains it quite well
also thanks for the CW /gen it definitely helps with seeing this as a genuine question, which I do, and again, don't mind at all
I also really hope me tagging tw syscourse doesn't bring endos here. I've had that happen before because "tagging syscourse means you want to be harassed- uhm that you want a discussion! " when I am tagging TW syscourse which is a different thing and it's just a warning.
