still kinda fascinated by the intertwined familial-political dynamics surrounding and occasionally involving Arafinwe, considering:
Among his fellow kings Ingwe and Finwe, Olwe is the least respected, due to not being one of the Three Ambassadors and the Teleri generally being considered "latecomers" to Valinor
Despite being peers in very similar positions within their families, Earwen very likely has more overall influence than Arafinwe does. (In accordance, Arafinwe's importance and personal allegiances pre-Darkening lie largely with the Teleri)
Arafinwe, as a new King ruling only a tenth of the Noldor, with close relational ties to both of the other kings, and a lot to be blamed for, has the least authority and respect among the three kings

About the Vanyar
I was writing, and the sentence was smt like 'he saw the vanyar sigil, [what the hell is the vanyar sigil], sealed in golden wax on the thick letter' and I wondered what was the vanyar sigil actually. So I searched and I found so many interesting things like drafts of sigil for Idril who are so beautiful or the fact that what was to be Eärendil's sigil in the future was originally designed for the house of Finarfin...
But nothing for the Vanyar.
So I made them one :)
