Varda Starfield is the Lady of Greengrove, Protector of the Two Trees, and Lady Commander of the fabled Knights of the Grove. When she was still a child, her father sent her to Doriath, a prosperous kingdom in Endorët. While there, Varda served as a handmaid to Queen Melian, who taught her many things, including witchcraft. Varda assumed her father's title after his death. She was only nineteen at the time.

maybe not a singular favorite but one of @edennill's top faves so I do count her as a blorbo-in-law

her design is peak (many versions which I saw) but not exactly my aestethics

Both are kind of one-sided in canon, where an evil man pursues a beautiful and powerful woman he feels entitled to because of his own high status. I know there’s a plausible argument that Melkor and Celegorm weren’t "actually" attracted to them (especially in Melkor’s case, because what exactly he wanted from Varda is unclear, plus they were both unbodied spirits in the Timeless Halls), and that they only wanted to gain more power through them — Melkor wanted to possess Iluvatar’s unsullied Light that Varda embodied, and Celegorm to make his family great again by marrying the princess of Doriath. But I think it was both attraction and a desire for power.

Also both were rejected in favor of the kinder men, and as a result their feelings turned into hatred and fear. That’s canon with Melkor, it’s not stated as explicitly with Celegorm, I think, but it’s not much of a stretch to interpret the Feanorians refusing to attack Luthien while she wore the Silmaril as fear of her.
