Eldritch Shadow Milk was given a blind healer as a gift by his worshipers after he corrupted. He very much liked this healer to a degree he would never admit. He always thought about what it would be like to see him raise their children, see his healer make him a family, see his healer with him forever.
And now that he has a family sometimes when he's tired and his magic fluctuates he looks at Pure Vanilla and for a moment thinks it's his little healer. But his healer would be long dead by now, right?
A LONG FORGOTTEN LOVE REINCARNATED PERHAPS??? 👀👀👀
The town doesn't remember a time before Pure Vanilla took a wife. Those that think too hard about it find their memories are fuzzy, filled with static. Where Pure Vanilla once stood alone, his wife now stood beside him.
Shadow Milk didn't want to "spend time" "socializing" with people to make his role more fulfilling. He was full and filled plenty by Pure Vanilla.
Lady Azure Vanilla, his human form, became more and more like a second skin than his perceivable godly form. Even though it sometimes exhausted her to maintain it for so long, the twins were still too little for her to shed it safely (and believe me, she tried. That was how Starlight Vanilla ended up deaf).
Pure Vanilla entered their bedroom one evening and dropped heavily onto the bed beside her, "The twins are, officially, in bed."
"Asleep?" She mumbled, face half buried into her pillow. The twins had really tested her ever-benevolent patience today (Pure Starberry was going through a picky-eater phase and Starlight Vanilla was going through a no-naps phase). So the second Pure Vanilla had gotten home, she told him it was HIS turn to parent them. She'd wanted to go hunting, to find a soul to corrupt and feast on. Instead, she'd gone up to their room and dropped like a lead weight onto their bed.
And that's where she stayed throughout supper, bath time, and bedtime.
"Mhm." Pure Vanilla hummed sleepily.
Azure Vanilla rolled over to look at her husband — her eyes widened in shock. "Healer..?"
For the briefest moment, time and space flickered to another time. Another place.
Healer laid on his back, arms folded over his stomach, and hands clasped together. He breathed deeply in his sleep. His pale gold hair laid in messy tresses around him like a halo.
"My precious Healer." Shadow Milk's voices gurgled and purred, "My beloved sacrifice." The true sacrifice had been the village that had sacrificed the blind man. They should've known better than to trust the God of Deceit.
Azure Vanilla blinked and she was back in her bedroom.
Pure Vanilla's eyes were closed. His hands were clasped over his stomach, and his breaths were growing heavier as sleep began to claim him. His short pale gold hair was splayed around his pillow like a halo.
Azure Vanilla scooted closer to his side, using her magic to undress them both.
Pure Vanilla instinctively wrapped an arm around her and turned to kiss her forehead, "You're wonderful, my love." He whispered.
Azure Vanilla turned his head by his chin and captured his lips in a kiss.
Pure Vanilla sighed with relief and kissed her back.
"My husband..?" Her second mouth spoke for her.
"Hmm? Yes, my wife?" Pure Vanilla hummed against her lips.
Shadow Vanilla — Azure Milk couldn't quite tell where they were. Time and space were bending and twisting in on themselves without a rider to rein them back in.
Azure Vanilla felt Healer's hands on her hips. Shadow Milk felt Pure Vanilla's lips on his. Azure Vanilla spread her legs for Pure Vanilla. Shadow Milk begged Healer for another child.
Pure Vanilla was all too willing to give his wife everything she wanted, "I, Pure Vanilla," he whispered into her star dusted skin, "Vow myself to you, Shadow Milk. Lady Azure, God of Deceit and Chaos, my beautiful wife, wonderful mother to our children." Each title was a loving thrust that blurred the lines between now and then.
Azure Vanilla dug her nails into his back, desperately clinging to the sacrifice that never was and the husband she was always meant to have.
Pure Vanilla worshipped both mouths, whispering his devotion to the hidden, godly parts of her. Whispering vows that another had whispered once upon a time half in fear and half in reverence.
Azure Vanilla could close her eyes and pretend her first sacrifice was the one plowing into her, pinning her to their bed, and spilling his seed within her womb.
When the pair finally separated, Azure Vanilla's body trembled with the aftershocks of her fantasy and Pure Vanilla was none the wiser.
