So many TV shows present characters who are finished articles, or who start out ‘flawed’ and work towards a more acceptable presentation. And OFMD says, sure, you possibly have some work to do, mostly with regard to self acceptance actually, but much of who you are is pretty okay already. Characters who push for conformity do not find their happiness. The show doesn’t seek to smooth every rough edge, and its characterisations and interpersonal relationships are messy like people are. It presents human complexity as something to be cherished which enhances the tapestry of life.

i was watching a vid on a fic im fairly impartial to and everyone was being like ‘omg can u guys believe the creator SHIPS the ONLY FUCKINNG SHIP THEY INCLUDED IN THE FIC i only realized aftr reading their other works….’

like chat. yes they portrayed it as a bad and toxic relationship. but in the authors note they were like omg guys im hosting an event for this ship!!!! happy three yrs to me shipping this!!!!!!

and also some people were mad that they liked gore and shock content. they were writing a fic about the mafia and a fifteen yr old in a relationship w his 40+ yr old legal guardian.

how the HELL did they have to read the authors othr stuff to realize they shipped it… it was the only relationship tag……

wnd also a bunch of them were like ‘oh the author is so gross i cant believe i red this!!!’ bbg it was all tagged. why DID u read it.

(sidenote from boyfriend (and me technically): “omg i hated my meal” - the customer who ate her entire meal complained

Imagine being an autist mixing slang with scientific terminology and when someone says something along the lines of "Yo, why you speakin so bougie? Wanna prove you so smart?", my only answer is "it's not bougie, it's IDIOSYNCRATIC"
