A delicious and savory-sweet stir-fry recipe featuring tender strips of chicken, colorful bell peppers, and crisp broccoli, all glazed with a honey sesame sauce and topped with toasted sesame seeds.
Ingredients: 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. 1/4 cup honey. 2 tablespoons soy sauce. 1 tablespoon sesame oil. 1 tablespoon rice vinegar. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 teaspoon ginger, minced. 1 red bell pepper, sliced. 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced. 1 cup broccoli florets. 2 tablespoons sesame seeds. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: To make the sauce, combine the honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, minced ginger, and garlic in a small bowl. Put aside. Add salt and pepper to the chicken strips for seasoning. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Stir-fry the chicken strips for 34 minutes, or until they turn golden brown and no longer have a pink hue. Take out and place aside from the skillet. If necessary, add a small amount more vegetable oil to the same skillet. Add the broccoli florets and the sliced red and yellow bell peppers. Stir-fry for 34 minutes, or until they begin to soften without losing their crispness. Place the cooked chicken back in the skillet along with the veggies. Cover the chicken and vegetables with the honey-sesame sauce. Stir-fry for a further two to three minutes so that the sauce gets thicker and covers everything equally. Once the sesame seeds have toasted, sprinkle them over the stir-fry and continue cooking for an additional minute. Serve the Stir-fried Honey Sesame Chicken. Saut on high over noodles or steamed rice. Have fun!
