I don't care how much you ""hate"" a show or how "problematic" you think it's fandom is; shitting on someone for sincerely and unabashedly liking a show that you personally dislike is LOSER BEHAVIOUR!
and no, adding a quick little "teehee but don't bully the people who do like this show though you guys! that would be super mean :3" at the end of your cringy little posts or the 2 hours too long videos doesn't make you look any less pathetic and shitty. At least the people who admit that they just want to make fun of the people who like these shows KNOW they are being shit head bullies.
Meanwhile y'all are out here thinking you're the "good guys", justified to say or do whatever you want to these people because they like a silly little show you for some reason have decided to make hating your entire fucking personality. I'll say it again: LOSER. BEHAVIOUR.
Welcome to Episode 1 of PUNCHING BACK: An Acceptable Punching Bag Defense Podcast!
Tomorrow's PREMIERE EPISODE includes Adam, Ed [aka @bardock1991] and Eric tackling the discourse, controversy, and fandom of RWBY, and PUNCHING BACK on common narratives with meaningful positivity as well as healthy discussion and disagreement.
YOUR HOSTS:
Adam is a video essayist, a stage and voice actor, director of the lifelong learning program The Goddard Spark, and above all a lover of stories, hope, and meaningful, productive discussion. Creative works are produced under the banner of Adam Splitters Entertainment.
RemnantBardock, aka Ed is Adamβs official editor for his channel, and an artist and a writer. He also draw the thumbnails for this podcast.
Eric has a degree in communication with an emphasis on media analysis, as well as experience studying filmmaking and music. He also runs the Substack Curious, Crippled and Queer in which he discusses various topics from the disabled and queer perspectives.
You won't want to miss this-- be sure to share with your friends and ring that bell so you don't miss the premiere!!
[This podcast is NOT about some kind of attempt to be "putting people in their place". If any RWBY fans are expecting takedowns of specific creators, that's not what this is about. We target the discussions, not the people.]
tadc critical is the same as hellaverse critical they both always see the worst thing from the show they absolutely hate
Most "*insert thing here* critical" hatedoms are like that.
I think a problem with any kind of "Critical" faction of any given fandom comes down to, well, who criticizes the critics?
That is to say, so many who call out that supposed "plot hole" or that alleged "OOC moment" are less interested in discussions as they are laying the law. No ifs, ands or buts about it outside of a few willing to listen.
As such, when one scrutinizes their aggressive assessments and argues how little water they can hold, there's a snootiness in response at best. Oh, poor pitiful fanboy. Can't handle their favorite show being exposed for the sham that it is.
At worst, it's anger with them using progressive language and talking points to legitimize themselves. To them, "criticism" isn't a conversation. It's a conversation ender. Full stop. Period. The proverbial parental unit putting their foot down on their children's choices in life.

Between you and me my worst fear is getting witch hunted, doxxed and falsely accused of heinous shit over something as small as what my current special interest is. I'm more scared of hatedoms than anything else online.
Guess who's going into hiding for awhile!!! ;^^
Confession #816
Anon doesn't know if this will make you feel better, but I can at least explain why people would insult or tell you to hurt yourself over enjoying a cartoon. It's the same problem as before; it's because they don't believe you actually enjoy the cartoon, as that would require you to have a much different thought process than they do. Instead, they believe you secretly know the cartoon sucks, but are intentionally being wrong on purpose just to screw with them. They think your opinion isn't real.
Well, to tell you the truth... I'm not sure if I do enjoy the show anymore.
All I ever get in my feed, or in my suggestions from the tags, are waves upon waves, upon waves of salt and people saying that anyone who doesn't think the show is abysmal, and anyone who works on it deserves to die, is a "brain-dead shill."
It's the same with trying to find fanfics, too. Just the same regurgitated salt-infested sludge that we got years ago. And I'm sick of it.
Whether it's Miraculous, or Hellaverse, or the MCU, or fucking anything the internet is obsessed with making everyone miserable!
But what the fuck do I know, huh? Maybe I am just a toxic positive retard who's too stupid to see the flaws in things. Maybe I don't have anything worthwhile to say and should just shut up forever.
Maybe I should just delete this stupid blog and keep my worthless opinions to myself. It's not like anyone really cares what I have to say anyway.
