A lot of the arguments against jax and tadc criticisms genuinely always just always feels like it can be summed up as an "i like pancakes" "so you hate waffles?" Type of argument half of the time with how stuff that was never even said is brought up.
"So you don't think isn't she lovely can be recontextualized about a trans woman even if it's about a newborn black girl?" No we just don't think it should be in a show created by someone who made racist jokes and covered by someone who is literally a lolicon, the recontextualization to be about trans identity is not the issue here.
"So you hate jax because she's a trans woman?" No we hate jax because she's an abuser who drove two of her friends to suicide who faced no direct consequences for it. [ I'm not counting abstraction as a consequence, we are not counting literal suicide as her facing consequences on either side of the argument. ]
"So you think trans characters can't be bad people?" No we think characters who are bad people shouldn't be treated by the narrative as if they're the most important victim and throw away any development for other traumatized characters who are direct victims of said bad character.

I remember seeing some fans trying to argue that the fact that gooseworx and glitch productions paid to use isn't she lovely in episode 9 as proof that it's perfectly fine for the song to be used, and i don't think some of these people understand how paying to use a song works.
Literally anyone can pay to be allowed to use a song in their work, the ones accepting the payment often do not do thorough background checks on who's using it or at best only check the context of what it's specifically being used in, the ones accepting payment do not have the context of gooseworx and some of the crew making racist and lolicon/shadman jokes. It's like someone paying to buy a cake and then using it to give away to people who are allergic to cake, even if the person who made the cake agreed to sell it that doesn't mean they were given context to the fact their cake was being used for something like that or that it's suddenly morally ok to do that.

Genuinely gonna say this now, the jax defense from the fandom feels even worse as someone who has literally lived with a jax as my own parent before. And, yeah jax's actions need to stop being excused. she is genuinely abusive in every single way and pushing harmful narratives even when brushing aside the fact she's a harmful transphobic caricature of a character. Like, i wouldn't have this issue of her being a bad person as a character if the narrative was making it clear she's not someone to be woobified and excused while presenting her as a bad person like a sort of clark from the backrooms movie situation or actually as an example of a worst case scenario like a lot of fans claim, but it's extremely clear in the series that they want us to feel bad for her and think she was secretly a good person the whole time when looking at stuff like the headspace scene and the flashback scene.
Like, I've literally had someone who was just like jax as my own mother, with her actions down to a t without getting into specifics and you know what me and the rest of my family did? WE BANNED HER FROM LIVING IN THE DAMN HOUSE, NOT FORGIVE AND EXCUSE HER IMMEDIATELY. It's scary how i can literally say I've lived with and been traumatized by someone just like jax yet at the same time see people and even gooseworx herself and glitch themself praising jax's actions to the high heavens.
