For all of you queer antis out there who are hellbent on sanitizing queer media and screaming for the censorship of art and fiction, this is what all of your pearl-clutching and virtue-signalling bullshit eventually leads to.

You are NEVER going to convince the homophobes who live and breathe hatred for you that there is a line between "good, god-fearing, church-going queers" and so-called "kinky, leather-daddy-at-pride-parade immoral queers".

As far as these hateful cunts are concerned, all of it falls under the same umbrella.

As you can see, even the 'uwu purest' queer content has a target on its back. Because in the eyes of anti-LGBTQ+ bigots, it is all considered gross, immoral content created by gross, immoral people.

They are coming for ALL of us, and that includes you.

I don't care if you think the kink-positive Leather Daddies dressing up at pride parades are icky. They are your fucking comrades in this fight, and no amount of pretending you're better than them or us is going to save you from the people who would wipe you off the face of the planet if they ever had the chance.

By demanding that queer media to be sanitized to fit Disney-esque, family-friendly standards, regardless of your queer status, is doing their job FOR them. Stop giving them even more reasons to strip down the portrayal of the queer experience until it removes anything that represents us AT ALL.

You either stand with us, or with those homophobic, boot-licking fucks.

They definitely overlap.

To me, proship and anti-harassment definitely are about the same. It sort of emphasizes a different part of the same stance. Proship specifically is about freedom of shipping whatever people want without passing moral judgement on or harassing them for it. Anti-harassment is just... being against harassment in general. So it's broader and can apply to other topics. But proshippers for the most part are anti-harassment, though not all anti-harassment people are proshippers. Anti-harassment in the context of shipping discourse has the same meaning as proship to me though.

Pro-kink does align with proship because both also are about being able to freely explore sexual themes as well. And understanding that there's a difference between enjoying a type of content in fiction or as a kink and endorsing it in real life. "YKINMK" or "Your kink is not my kink" is a phrase that I've seen in proship circles a lot that is also about acknowledging people just have different kinks, which is a pro-kink thing. Also anti-shippers/fantis have arguments that come from anti-kink standpoints, so it makes sense for the people who support shipping/kinks to tend to be in the same group.

Can You Imagine Thinking Of, Making, And Posting A Video Like This And Believing That Other People Need Help And Not You?

If you dislike certain fictional content, characters, or ships, then you don’t have to, but don’t make a video essentially telling people who like fiction and are AntiHarassment to get help.

There’s nothing to get help for unless someone can’t differentiate fiction from reality and condones it in real life.

As much as I want to make fun of this video, I also don’t because I actually feel really bad for the person behind it.

I don’t want to make massive assumptions, and I don’t think others should either, but I’m actually a bit concerned about them because no one makes a video with a fucking title or thumbnail like that if they’re okay.

Either something is wrong, they wanted to trend hop and clout chase on a popular topic right now, or both.

Fandoms and shipping going mainstream on YouTube was a terrible, terrible mistake.

2025 Edit:

I was going to address this in a much larger post and I still plan to, but since this post is getting traction again I should really say something before this gets more out of hand and scary.

I can’t go into too much since I’m saving some of it for the larger post, but to put it simply I’m not upset at them leaving the ProShip community.

I actually don’t think it’s that much different from an AntiShipper becoming a ProShipper.

I’m upset at the wording used in the title and thumbnail. I just don’t like how they framed it.

The thumbnail made it sound like they’re talking about a disease or an addiction.

This goes without saying from me, but don’t harass the YouTuber behind this.

Not only is that against what ProShipping is about, It’s wrong and it’s gonna be bad for everyone involved.

The YouTuber behind it commented on my video and they seem really nice.

I didn’t like their video and their comment scared me, but they were kind so please don’t go after them.

I made a mistake and I’m sorry.

Please don’t harass the original creator of the video or me.

I plan to go more in depth about this post and others like in the future, but for now I’ll have to give you all this.
