All right yโall-weโre halfway through season two and Iโm fixinโ to complain. I do not expect this post to be very popular or to gain much traction, but I needed to get it off my chest before the next episode drop.
Rant positively inspired by this reblog: โฌ๏ธ

Truthfully, Iโm so fcking tired of all the ship discourse surrounding Alastorโs asexuality.
The lack of tolerance in this fandom is unbelievable. Itโs disappointing. Itโs hypocritical.
More importantly, many of the people trying to โpoliceโ Alastorโs character in fanmade-works donโt seem to realize theyโre invalidating ace experiences like my own.
Asexuality is a spectrumโsomething thatโs been carefully explained in countless posts since the pilot episode aired. Yet, every day, people in the Hazbin fandom continue to make truly ignorant, and (sometimes cruel) assumptions about a life theyโve never lived.
Iโm in my 30s. Iโve never been kissedโฆ I still have my friggin V-card.
That said, Iโm tired of everyone assuming that just because I donโt crave sex, Iโm incapable of a romantic or even a sexual relationship. Sure, I donโt seek sex out. I rarely even think about it. But just because Iโm not inherently drawn to it doesnโt mean Iโm repulsed by itโor afraid of it. It just means itโs not something I naturally want.
With the right person though? I might be open to it, just as Iโd be open to watching their favorite show or going to their favorite restaurant.
Yes, there are asexual people who are sex-repulsedโand their feelings and experiences absolutely matter. But they are not the only ones who exist. They are not the only ones who deserve representation.
(More damning? These people are not the ones acting vile online)
And hereโs the biggest point: Alastor is an imaginary character.
He doesnโt need your help. He doesnโt need your protection.
But the person on the other side of the screen? Real.
The artist whose page you left a hate comment on? Real.
The author who poured pieces of their own experiences into a fanfic? Real.
Real. Real. Real.
You want to help? You want to protect? You want to validate asexual voices?
Then stop preachingโand listen to us. All of us. Even the โweirdโ ones who donโt fit neatly into your worldview.
If thatโs too much for you? Then at least remember, at the end of the day, you control the content you consume.
If you donโt like a ship, block the tag.
If you donโt want romance or smut, use tags like โQueerplatonic Relationshipโ or โSex-Repulsed Alastor.โ
Pleaseโjust let the rest of us enjoy our fandom in peace.
And if you canโt stand to have your worldview stretched beyond your prejudices of how a proper ace should be? Or you refuse to be tolerant and learn how to respectfully coexist with people you disagree with?
Then maybe you are not ready to watch a series meant for โmature audiencesโ.
the antiship idea that your fictional tastes must equal your IRL tastes is incredibly aphobic and queerphobic.
that person who enjoys lolisho content must be attracted to real children? okay, then that asexual who enjoys smut must be lying about being asexual. that aromantic who enjoys romance stories must be lying about being aromantic. that lesbian who's attracted to a male fictional character must be attracted to real men. that gay man who's attracted to a female fictional character must be attracted to real women. wdym "it's different"? no, no, your fictional tastes definitely equal your IRL tastes, because the antiship community says so!
What do we call their ship name
DancePardner
Blellow
DancingBullets
Justegrity
Blooming Justegrity
"GunsandRoses" and "JustDance" have been omitted because they are already names of preexisting media, and I've already been through one fandom war over a ship name clogging another fandom's main tag
"JustDance" is already a game name (Just Dance)
"Gunsandroses" is already a band name (Guns n' Roses)
EDIT: BLELLOW IS ALSO USED BY SEVERAL OTHER FANDOMS TURNS OUT
For peace and harmony in the fandom, and to avoid another Hazbin ship name fiasco, we need to choose something that isn't already a name for something else
I like "(Blooming) Justegrity" a lot for some reason. the "blooming" is to distinguish it from yellow and blue soul ships from undertale if "justegrity" is already a thing
"Hate when I enter a new fandom and the most boring, unamusing and tasteless ship is the ultimate fan favourite" type of people piss me off so much. Like no, just because you(general you) don't like a ship doesn't automatically make it "bland" or "boring" and saying things like this doesn't make you special it just shows everyone how bitter, immature and eccentric you are. You should be able to dislike something and still be civil about it, it really shouldn't be that hard.

Some people are so sensitive when it comes to toxic ships, like no bro I don't think the fact you got hit as a child is good just because I drew L and Light fighting
