AU five facts: Tommy finally finds out the specifics of how Abby left Buck and maybe starts to understand a little bit why Evan didnβt chase after him, the way heβd half hoped he would
Ohhh honestly this barely needs to be an AU, we could have this! ArthurFist.jpeg but I will AU it.
1. Sometime before the hookup and before Eddie moves, Abby reaches out to ask him if he still talks to an old mutual friend of theirs. Abby's pretty sure she doesn't use Facebook anymore, her phone number changed, and she's been trying to get in touch for months. The only other person who knew her is Tommy, because she was his friend first, so she calls him and it's awkward at first. He does, in fact, still have Mel's number. Well, her new one. She'd changed it after her divorce, Tommy's had the same one since he moved to LA. He asks her if she still talks to Alan and Stacy. "Eh, here and there," she says. "Why?" "Because they were saying some really unkind shit about you and Ev--Buck," he says, having replayed that whole thing in his head so many times. "How do you know Buck?" she asks, and he tells her. She's shocked and more than a little morbidly curious and also apparently only found out he was gay because she Instagram stalked him a few years before after her exes came up in a conversation with a friend.
2. He remembers what Evan said about Abby's relationship with him being transformative, which contradicts the shitshow he'd heard about. So he asks her what exactly happened. He knew her well enough back then to read between the lines of what she says now, and she's apparently done some therapy and realized some things weren't okay, like stringing this young guy along after she'd left the country. She kept giving him hope, and she knew it. He kept messaging her, taking her calls, calling her, and it all ended up the way it did. After she openly told him everything going on in her head for months. She opened up, strung him along, and then that was it. "Goddammit," he sighs. "What?" she asks. "Nothing," he says, even though he wants to ask her some pointed questions. "I gotta go."
3. Tommy builds a bench for an outdoor table he's building, and he sands and tries to think back on things Evan had said about past relationships. There's not a ton. They hadn't really talked about that. But he knows about the traveling, the fact that Maddie was supposed to join him and then basically stood him up because of her ex. Tommy knows what he's been wanting out of this situation, which is to have Evan show that he actually understands their relationship, that he cares enough about Tommy as a person rather than an idea. But maybe he got scared off from chasing after people. He remembers how Evan had asked if he was breaking up with him, when that hadn't been Tommy's plan. Tommy had thought it was what he wanted, but maybe it's just what he expected. He turns off the sander and goes inside to shower.
4. He drives to the loft. Evan's car is in its spot, and Tommy has to circle the block four times before he can find somewhere to park. He goes up and knocks on the door, and Evan opens it. He's in an apron, there's flour all down the front of it, and the place smells kind of like Christmas. He looks tired and surprised and so, so beautiful. "T-Tommy," he says, like he can't believe Tommy's there. "Hey, is this a bad time?" Tommy asks, and Evan steps aside. His hands itch to reach out, to hold his waist so he can kiss him, quick and easy and automatic. "It smells good, whatever that is," Tommy says. "Uh, it's a spice cake," Evan says, and Tommy sees a few cooling racks with cupcakes or muffins. Also cookies. "Did you forget something here? I checked, but--" "Yeah," Tommy says, turning to look at him. "You." And Evan blinks a couple of times and then smiles a little, and Tommy can't help but return it.
5. Tommy tells him what was going through his head, why he felt like he needed to walk away from the situation, how he unfairly thought Evan would try to stop him if he cared. "But I know that hasn't worked out for you in the past," Tommy says, and Evan looks away. "We don't know enough about each other yet to move in together. Clearly. But maybe we could figure out how to get there? Except not...here. I'm sorry, but there's no garage space and nowhere to woodwork and--" He can't even complain about the parking, because Evan is reaching across and kissing him. Tommy's fingers twist in the apron, and he's got flour on him, too, when they pull away, but he doesn't care. "I missed you so much," he confesses. "Y-yeah, I--" Evan looks over his shoulder at the cooling racks and chokes out a laugh, looking back at Tommy with tears in his eyes. "I bake when I want to text you." The chair creaks under Tommy when he pulls Evan nearly onto his lap for another kiss, and he can't believe he ever walked away from this.

For @bucktommysummerfest week, err, 6? Prompts: postcards // road trip
The 2-for-1 bonus round because sometimes you just really gotta draw mesas
AU where Tommy and Evan are about the same age, and join the Academy at the same time.
Evan clocks the haunted look in Tommy's eyes and sticks to him like a limpet. On day one, he introduces himself as Evan, Evan Buckley. Tommy, who is still on military time, grunts Kinard and wonders, why are you being vulnerable with me right now? He's used to last names, nicknames and call signs. Evan has never met a stray he didn't love, and Tommy is too baffled by the kindness and sunshine to cut him off.
If only this would have happened in canonπ€π€ Bobby where are youπ€
Thanks for this request and sorry for taking this long @ajhoyles27, i hope you like itπ₯°
au where tommy did drive by the loft post break up like a pining dork and buck caught him doing it
I don't know why but this gave me the hardest time for no real reason. But I figured it out and now you get some schmaltz.

1. Buck was running late for the fourth day in a row. It wasnβt that he oversleptβif anything he was up and out of the bed before the alarm went offβbut that he was having trouble seeing the point of getting out the door. All he did now was go to work, go the store, go home, bake, repeat. It wasnβt the most exciting life, not withstanding the bit where job was to literally run into fires, but it was his, even if somewhere across space and time he could feel twenty-six year old Buck screaming.
βIt was supposed to be better than this,β Buck mumbled, the giant tote bag filled with containers of cookies bouncing off his hip. He wanted to experiment with the different flavored chip combinations he had gone to four different of stores to find, and so he made a triple batch of the base dough. Even after pawning off a bunch on the students in the apartment below, he still had a lot left over. Chim and Hen refused to take more and he could only send so many care packages to Texas before Eddie would stop taking them, but the newest probie was always hungry and would go through a dozen throughout the shift. Munoz would take some, given her sweet tooth, and Jeffords would grab some for their kid.
A thought intruded: Buck could send some over to Harbor. Theyβd be a hit there. Tommy used to complain about the sad state of their snack cupboard.
Maybe it was that thought that had him turning his head at the flash of blue in the corner of his eye. He caught a glimpse of the back of a truck just as it turned the corner. Itβd been too quick to tell, but that had looked likeβ
His phone alarm went off. Buck swore and ran for the Jeep. He was late.
2. His leg ached like a son of a bitch, and all Buck wanted was his heating pad, his bed, and someone in it to hold him and gently scratch his head until he felt better. Well, two out of three wasnβt bad. He was full on limping as he made it up from the garage to the main entrance and so distracted by the pain that it took him a good ten seconds to recognize the truck slowly driving past.
βTommy?β he said.
The truck sped up as the light changed.
Buck ran. He made it three steps before his leg almost buckled. The truck was gone.

You write some of the best salbucktommy ever jsyk <3. Au Prompt - salbucktommy and neighborhood competitors - sal and tommy have had The House in their neighborhood for years, always have the best decorations for Halloween and Christmas, always win the best yard/lawn award but one day Buck moves in down the street and heβs starting to give them real competition. It to escalating water features and holiday inflatables and shenanigans
Thank you π₯Ή
1. Sal's family always overdid it for Christmas decor with the big nativity scene, Tommy's family acted like holidays barely existed, and when they buy their house, Sal buys more Christmas lights than Tommy thinks they need. "Nah, this is just the beginning, baby," Sal says, hefting the box into the attic space and going back down the ladder to Tommy. "I'm giving you a winter wonderland every December." And Tommy could cry, he really could. Sal loves him, cuts through his bullshit and facades like nothing. "What about Halloween?" he asks. "Oh, scariest house on the block, easy," Sal says, grinning. He kisses Tommy, and Tommy presses him against the ladder and kisses him until the whole thing shifts behind Sal. "Whoops," Sal says, laughing against Tommy's jaw even as he clutches at Tommy's hoodie.
2. Their decor builds and builds, and it becomes The House for photos and for kids and adults to stop and look and ooh over. One year, they ask Eli to dress as Santa for photos and collect money for charity. They do toy drives, bringing toys into their stations that get dropped off in a clean, new, decorated trash bin they've bought. They manage to make a haunted house in the driveway and garage one year, but it's hard to pull it off and hinges on Tommy not having a project car. Tommy likes passing by the window and seeing people point to different decorations and smile or haul their kids up onto their shoulders so they can look. He knows his neighbors, he has barbecues with them, they're invited to all the parties and events, their holiday enthusiasm has spread and turned into an unofficial competition. He feels roots burrow in with the foundation, and Sal's right there growing with him.
3. Jess and Bill rent out their house when they've got to move back to Iowa to help Bill's father. It's a tough goodbye, but Tommy tells them to call if they ever need anything. He gets big hugs from the kids, feels himself getting emotional about it because he remembers when they were born. He knows their tenant doesn't have a family, maybe he'll get to watch another one grow.
4. The new guy is a tall, younger man with a sunny smile. He's enthusiastic about the manicotti and cookies that he and Sal bring over. His name's Evan, and he says he's hoping to find a place to settle down. "Well, it's a great neighborhood," Tommy says. "Yeah, everyone's real helpful, looks out for each other," Sal agrees. They leave their numbers and head home. "Well, he's a lot prettier than Bill," Sal says, and Tommy has to agree. "Babe, he's prettier than either of us," Tommy argues. "Aw, you're still my prettiest boy," Sal coos, pinching his cheek before kissing him.
5. Halloween is coming up, and Tommy's setting up the decorations. They prefer to do painted wooden standees and handmade mummies and zombies and fake gravestones and all that. But he almost drops a giant spider on his face, because Evan is putting up a giant Home Depot skeleton. No one on the block has one. He's putting clothes on it, making it look like a haggard grim reaper. "Motherfucker," Tommy says. And he decides this is the year he's making the chicken wire ghosts. He ends up doing that and turning the entire front of the lawn into a field of plaster jack-o'-lanterns with LED candles in each one. It takes forever, it's beautiful. Evan's got a fog machine, nice fake headstones, and a moon projection onto his exterior wall that has a werewolf silhouette that appears, and there's a howl that plays every so often until about eight at night. It's so nice it's almost infuriating.
6. He puts the skeleton in a fucking Pilgrim outfit. And gets an inflatable turkey to sit next to it. Tommy hates inflatables.
7. Sal starts pointedly watching Christmas Vacation early and making sure Tommy is in the room for the light scene. But he also helps Tommy paint a fucking sleigh that Tommy made, and they put lights on their trees and make the whole front look like the North Pole in California. Evan does a beautiful Victorian, Dickensian setup. It's annoyingly perfect and tasteful. There's a fountain.
8. Yvonne and Dani have a holiday party, inclusive to all and including all types of holiday food. Tommy's chowing down on kugel and drinking some of the Christmas ale that Steve made, and Evan slips into the empty space next to him. "Man, I'm glad I found this neighborhood," he says, smiling. "Everyone's so nice. And fun, I love that I'm not the only one into all the holiday stuff. My buddy warned me I might have overdone it when I bought all that stuff, but my family didn't really do big holiday stuff all the time. My parents were dealing with a lot, y'know?" And Tommy feels his Grinchy heart grow three sizes. "That's why Sal started getting me to decorate," he admits. "My family just didn't do anything like that. Bare house, didn't have a tree some years, I always had to go to Nonna and Nonno's for that. They just didn't care." Evan smiles wider, even though he looks a little pained, like he's sad for Tommy. "Well, now we've got the best houses in the neighborhood," Evan says. "Yeah," Tommy agrees. "You want some mulled wine? Sal made it." And they get their drinks and Tommy shows him photos from past years of holidays.
9. On New Year's Eve, they invite Evan over. They have a smaller party, because people are usually out or have kids who need to get to bed. Evan asks if he can bring his sister, and they tell him to bring her along. Pretty quickly, she and Howie end up on the couch and talking and laughing. "You bring anyone for me?" Evan jokes. "Mm, depends on what you're looking for," Sal says, and Evan looks between the two of them and flushes, shrugging. At the countdown, they end up at the back of the crowd. Evan's next to Tommy. And at midnight, Tommy leans over and kisses the corner of his mouth. Sal takes the next kiss, soft and quick. And Evan looks dazed as they kiss each other. "H-hell of a way to ring in the new year," he says.
10. Two years down the line, Jess and Bill have moved back with Bill's dad. Which means that Evan and all of his decorations move into Sal and Tommy's, and Tommy suddenly needs to figure out how to store a 12 ft Home Depot skeleton. And what the biggest bed is he can buy. At the end of August, Evan pushes his tablet across the table to them. "So this is what I was thinking for Halloween," he says as Sal picks it up. "Hm, some good ideas here," Sal notes. "To start," Tommy adds with a grin. "To start," Evan agrees, grinning back and hooking his foot around Tommy's ankle under the table.

here's some more of lead me to your door, from earlier on than the parts i've shared recently
Sal's place is pretty similar to Tommy's β a single storey with a scrap of yard. He's got an honest-to-god minivan parked in the driveway and Tommy resists the urge to tease because it's honestly kind of sweet. Sal, who liked motorbikes and muscle cars, is a middle aged dad with a minivan and even post-divorce he hasn't reverted to type.
"Welcome to the love shack," Sal says as he throws the door open and gestures Tommy inside.
"You're such a β " Tommy starts, but before he can find an appropriate insult, Sal kicks the door shut behind himself and his hands land on Tommy's jaw to draw him in and then Tommy's kissing the guy who he probably has to class as his oldest friend, even if they haven't seen each other in the better part of a decade.
Sal kisses like he talks β fast, intense, a rush of sensation that has Tommy enthralled in a way he doesn't want to admit. Hands find Tommy's jacket and shove it down from his shoulders to tangle around his elbows before he's able to shrug all the way out of it and let it fall to the floor. Sal tastes of cheap beer and tortilla chips and it's better than it has any right to be. Tommy gets his arms around Sal's waist, hands pressed to the small of his back, and groans at the feel of him, so sturdy, familiar even though the haze of years, even though they've never touched each other like this.
m i n e
If Tommy could he would hide Buck inside his chest. To protect him. Keeping him safe.
Love how protective he is as a werewolf about Buck. That's why some serious possesive face π
Also can't lie that @lostintheuniverseslies is biggest inspiration for all my BuckTommy drawing lately and I love it πβ¨οΈ

Hi, I don't know if you're still doing the AU prompts, but I was just thinking about a fic with 5 times Buck sends a dick pic in his life and +1 first time he receives one (from Tommy). And I think you'd be perfect for writing this :)
heLLO anne!! it's safe to assume im doing any ask game, just no promises i'll ever uhhhhhh actually answer the ask but!! this one really tickled my brain!!
thank you for thinking of me ππ₯° i had a really fun time writing this :) sorry that i didn't exactly stick to the prompt??? but it is about buck dick pics, so i hope that's ok.

Hello Ed!
Can I interest you in a little SalTommy? (AZ ALWAYS π)
Sal and Tommy are together since a few years, and it has been Tommy who was bottoming, he loves it, and it enjoy it with Sal, specially after years of dating where people assuming he prefer topping.
And then comes a time when Sal asks Tommy to look after him. He's only recently become captain, always on the front lines, always looking after his team without ever letting up.
And Tommy is happy to do that for him, and turn Sal into a whiny mess.
And a story or a AU, your choice ππ
OKAY SO I WENT BACK AND REREAD THE PROMPT AND REALIZED IT SAID YEARS NOT MONTHS SO IT'S MONTHS I'm sorry π
1. It happens by accident. When Tommy drunkenly confesses to his best friend that he has feelings for him, it's less about the feelings and more him saying, "Mm, I'd let you fuck me." after Sal makes a joke about the dry spell he's had lately. And Sal tells him not to play with him like that, and Tommy shoves his shoulder. "'M not playing, dumbfuck, wanna fucking be with you," he says, and they have a noisy, messy kiss that's terrible and tastes like booze. Sal crashes in his guest room and then Tommy quietly makes breakfast and Sal asks him if he'd meant it and Tommy says he did, and Sal backs him up against the cabinets and kisses him. The eggs overcook, the bacon burns, but Tommy's got a date and doesn't give a shit.
For @bucktommysummerfest week 3, prompts: pool party / different first kiss
