i was thinking about john and kem giving another shot at things in chicago post-series……… and they get pregnant again and john is a fucking nervous wreck through the entire pregnancy and he doesn’t know where to put all that manic energy, certainly doesn’t want to put it on kem, and peter becomes his outlet for it. more specifically, peter fucks him calm. it’s so fucked up but peter is truly the only thing that gets him through it—the thoughts that their baby might not make it, he’s not strong enough to go through it again. and the distance grows and grows and kem carries the baby to term, their beautiful baby boy, and john LOVES HIM loves him so fucking much but he’s not in love with his son’s mother anymore and everything is fucked
