When they're waiting to board the boat and the crowd is all listening in on Murderbot telling the humans its going back to help the militia hold off the corporates
The crowd all parting to let it through and Mb thinks it must be its angry face and not the fact that everyone just heard its going off to protect them
When passengers spot it in the water and work together to pull it aboard
Random humans recognizing its heroism and working to help it
They hear its kid? say "They will kill you" they hear its wife? ask if it's "going to do the thing." It has a past the kids don't know about. It's going to protect everyone or die trying. Its going to buy its family time to get away. You know every human on that boat was relieved when it made it back aboard.
#đđđđ #murderbot #god yeah they probably DO think that's its family!!!! #and it is. to be clear. farai is about to report back to tano like 'bad news :/ i'm on ayda's side about the secunit now.' #[communist bugs bunny meme] OUR secunit #but my point is that a bystander probably sees what they think is a heavily augmented human person #someone so augmented that it MUST have been some kind of lifesaving measure rather than a choice (per artificial condition) #who has their wife(?) and their mother(?) and their THREE children(?) with them #and THAT is the person who says with total authority that it's going to protect them or die trying #of course they step aside to let it through #that's some entertainment feed quality heroism right there! say what you will about the 90s but there were so so many women on TV with beautiful curly hair. we used to be a proper society
This tweet read me to filth
tbh i love hear me outs but i also love the opposite of hear me outs where itâs like nearly everyone thinks theyâre fuckable except you
Oops! Looks like another tiny dragon has gotten loose. This one had the misfortune of finding an ink bottleâŚ
At Toba aquarium in Japan, after closing time, some clever little otter pups help their grandpa tidy up their toys. As a reward, he gives them ice cubes

problematic sudoku solving skills gap
Thinking about how wild it is that enshittification starts as a way for the rich to squeeze the populace for more money but ends up infecting everything so even luxury products decline in quality. Theyâve got more money than fucking God now and for what? Literally they canât even buy fun nice stuff for themselves because they killed craft.
Anyway this post is about Dhaka muslin but itâs also about everything.
Nearly 200 years ago, Dhaka muslin was the most valuable fabric on the planet. Then it was lost altogether. How did this happen? And can we
guess it's time to post agha shahid ali's poem about dhaka muslin
Fun fact! Revival of Dhaka Muslin has been ongoing for quite some time. The headline of the above article is very very misleading, we know exactly how Dhaka Muslin was made. The process was very well documented. We know how it was made, but colonialism ruined the fabric's production area and devalued the skills needed to make it such that they no longer existed. But the process itself was not lost.
That being said, efforts to bring it back are underway, and they have been making amazing progress, and succeed in creating Dhaka Muslin yet again.
It all began with a search for âphuti karpasâ â muslinâs unique cotton plant which is known to have become extinct. However, starting in 201
This is a pretty good updated article, it has a lot of the same info as the BCC one (which also discusses some of the revival efforts) but with more of a focus on that process, an update to the story, and it details some of the other ongoing projects working on the revival!
Here's the first weaver to manage to produce a finished piece in nearly 200 years, Al Amin.
His first piece was 300 threads, according to the article they have now been able to get into the 700s for thread counts, which is absolutely incredible.
Several projects are actually underway now each with different weavers and slightly different methods, producing fabric intended to meet or best the original!
And if you're curious, "okay but can it pass through a ring" yes! Yes they can!
All three of these photos are of pieces made in the modern century, photos by Wasiul Bahar!
It's a very time consuming process, and a very expensive fabric to purchase, but love and passion for it have been steadily bringing it back!

my life with ADHD
This is very true and a great post.
But low key makes me think about how people with adhd have been raised their whole lives to value a day based on what they accomplished vs what they experienced
I think your point is excellent. But also consider:
That list might say things like âPaint a picture. Go birdwatching. Finish that great novel I started reading. Call my grandma. Learn to bake a cake. Visit my sister. Play piano.â
For me at least, the good/fun things are harder without meds too. I can have the best intentions, but following through is hard.
This addition is so important.
You should be able to listen to a full album without looking at your phone. You should be able to watch a 3 hour film from beginning to end without checking social media. If you can't do this, you need to start training your attention span as if it were a physical muscle. I don't experience boredom or restlessness because I've trained my brain to not be dependent on quick stimuli and dopamine hits. If you can't chill on a park bench while waiting for a friend with just your imagination to keep you company, you need to learn how to do it ASAP because one day we may not have access to the internet.
