Just learned about putridariums, that’s crazy. There’s a dead raccoon at my bus stop that’s been there for about a week and every time I arrive at the stop it’s a little more decomposed and the smell is otherworldly. Nuns and monks would pray daily in the putridarium and contemplate death. The only thing I can contemplate as I wait for the bus is how I can keep down a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
