Starting a NEW series that I'll be adding to throughout the next few years here and there… Pinups Through History! This brand new Dietz Dolls pinup artwork is a tribute not only to Bill Randall but a look around the world and through different times in history! Kicking off the series with 'Roman Bath'.

In ancient Rome, communal bathhouses featured an ingenious underfloor heating system called a hypocaust that made the marble floors so scorching hot, bathers could easily burn their bare feet. To safely navigate the steamy rooms and pools, Romans had to wear thick-soled wooden sandals or clogs while wrapped in large linen towels known as linteums. Strapping on sandals at the baths wasn't just a matter of fashion or modesty, but an absolute necessity to protect their soles from the intense heat.
