this is so true, and as I discover more about myself and my disabilities I’ve been seeing it everywhere. A lot of times it’s even in small things like: picky eaters, kids who have the rolly backpacks, people who ask blunt questions, and people who correct others. those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head (and a lot of these pertain to autistic people, which I am) but you really just start to see it in everything people find annoying or undesirable

It’s so sad that students are now relying so heavily on AI for writing essays because they’re missing out on the best part of writing an essay which is when you’re a few paragraphs in and you just reach that flow state where your thought process becomes one with the essay and you’re slamming the keys so hard that you’re on the verge of destroying your laptop. Folks with ADHD are not meant to live in the age of instant communication. I need you all to start thinking of me like a pen pal. You send me something and it takes a week before I am able to read it read it and then it takes a week before I start writing back and then it takes 1-2 weeks to get to you.
