Who wants to hear a short silly medieval story??
A long time ago in a European kingdom far, far away, was a prince by the name of Mario.
Mario had a headache, and it was really bad.
"Well, your majesty," said the doctor, peering through his doctoring mask, "we have tried arsenic, mercury, and even opium! You show no symptoms of the plague, but you still must be quarantined. To the moon!"
"Excuse me? I am the prince, you peasants can't order me around! Then again, a trip to the moon would be rather interesting..."
And so, Prince Mario was sent up the biggest, tallest, staircase he had ever seen.
At the top of that staircase, was the biggest, tallest, elevator that has ever existed, now or then. (This elevator worked through the pulley system, a simple machine used back even in ancient Egypt).
At the top of that elevator, was the biggest, tallest escalator that was even bigger than the flight of stairs. (Someone would have been beheaded if the prince was made to walk that many stairs again, I'm sure).
Then, Prince Mario, once he was up the veryyyy tall stairs, and up the veryyyy tall elevator, and up the veryyyy tall escalator, he finally reached the moon.
This quarantine lasted for 3 years, until the Prince finally got bored because there were no fair maidens to dance with on the moon.
He rode down the veryyyy tall escalator, down the veryyyy tall elevator, and then slid down the banister of the veryyy tall stairs until he was, once again, back on Earth in his kingdom.
"Father!" Mario cried as he burst into the royal hall.
"My son!" Shouted the king joyously, running to meet the prince. "I am so glad to see you! But are you sure it is safe to be back here? Are all symptoms of the plague gone?"
"Yes, my headache ceased when I was but halfway up the elevator, actually. But I had wanted to see the moon."
"Glad to hear!" Said the king.
That night, Mario stayed up until 4:26 in the morning practicing his Hurdy-gurdy (which he had missed so very much while on the moon).
The poor king, who's chambers were right next to the prince's, woke the next morning...
