This is a great take and I would like to adopt āFeelings Yakuzaā in English actually, I feel like it conveys the whole thing way more obviously than āantiā (not to mention the muddled meaning of āproshipperā).
To avoid harassment, EA and SEA artists have started pre-emptively blocking users with "proship DNI" or any variation thereof in their profiles as a result of this article and said feelings yakuza are getting pissed that their DNIs are being hard enforced by the other side. How very dare.

A male being shy and soft spoken doesn't mean he's feminine or trans.
A male character being attenuative and parental doesn't mean he's feminine or trans.
A male character who cooks, cleans, and tidies the home doesn't mean he's feminine or trans.
A male character having long hair and wearing flowing robes/clothes doesn't mean he's feminine or trans.

I could go on and on. Reverse can easily be said about female characters.
People like to talk about breaking gender norms, but the moment they encounter a character that doesn't abide said gender norms, those same people immediately claim that they're obviously trans.

it's always funny to me when ppl act like it's somehow incestuous for characters who consider each other found family/chosen family/whatever u wanna call the trope to date each other, and it's funny for many reasons, but most specifically it's funny because irl when you meet a person and get really attached and decide that you want to be family with them, there's a very popular legally recognized way of doing that & it's called marriage

first of all, you have gangle, zooble, and pomni being the ones to be all āweāre in this finisher guys š„ŗš„ŗš„ŗā, which is already annoying in of itself (i mean, pomni doing that isnāt shocking but it was still irritating, especially that āweāve all done bad thingsā nonsense. like, who? you, jax, and kinger? cuz iām certain that we could just take the things jax has done in the circus alone and it wouldnāt be compared to the things everyone else has done combinedā iāll say, maybe besides kinger being partly responsible for all of this in the first place).
and second of all, like i said, itās not even true? jax has quite literally done absolutely nothing to show that he is changed and truly āone of themā. just last episode, he showed them all that he will throw each and every last one of them under the bus to avoid wtv he doesnāt want to confront in the real world (at least, thatās what iām assuming the reason is) or smth like that. and now theyāre welcoming this fucker w open arms? why???
if jax had actually changed, i genuinely think my opinion would be different and iād be more like āwell, i still donāt like him, but he has changed.ā but he has quite literally refused to change for the better! i quite literally thought it was intentional that everyone else seemed/seems to be āgetting betterā and forming bonds w each other and shit while jax intentionally does not. which jax has been doingā¦ for a while now.
and sorry but the whole āweāre stuck here so we might as well make the most of itā excuse isnāt good enough when jax is the only one here who intentionally hurts people for fun consistently (regardless if itās a āmaskā or not, he still fucking does it) and also intentionally self-isolates.
and another thing: i am so tired of ppl saying that jax being less abusive bc heās fallen into a depressive state where he can no longer dissociate bc heās been forced to confront that heās truly trapped in a digital circus is meant to be actual ācharacter developmentā and prove that heās changed, when itā¦ really doesnāt, at all. being too depressed to be a bully is not rly āchangingā.
in fact, in ep. 8, he literally tries his usual bullshit (albeit with no theatrics cuz heās super depressed now) by saying that āeverything was just fine until pomni & zooble showed upā or wtv he said. and iām certain the only reason it stopped there was bc literally no one took the bait, which he himself acknowledges after a few moments of no reaction.
how in the world is that āchangingā? how is that being āone of themā?
I feel like part of the problem is that he and Ragatha didn't have an episode dedicated to just themselves. We get more of Jax in the fifth episode than we do with Ragatha (more involvement/voicelines with the President idea, Gangle's anime idea, AND Stargazing), and we still get more Jax involvement in the guns episode. Meanwhile Zooble, Gangle, and Kinger get an ample amount of time dedicated to fleshing them out individually regardless if they were with Pomni or not. I was not a fan of how little we got of Ragatha, because she's one of the most realistic victims in the circus in terms of familial strains, and that has A LOT of baggage tied to it. It would have done her justice if she had gotten that same treatment as the other three. And if she had gotten the same treatment, maybe then this misogynistic fanbase wouldn't have wished death on her for validly crashing out against the certified resident jackass after only doing so once. It could have touched upon how her line in Fast Food had more weight to it, "I like...hate you, but I don't want you to hate me. Is the weird?"; what else has Jax done directly and indirectly to her (and the others) to warrant this? She WANTS to be liked, she WANTS people to be happy, and not just because she was denied these kinds of things through her narcissistic mother. If it was touched upon, maybe she would have had a bigger say on what Pomni said about how "they all did bad things".
Jax too, especially after the flashbacks of the car driving in the beach episode. Whether that was Caine messing with his head or not, that doesn't change the fact that it influenced him far enough to press the red button and trap everyone in the circus with him. Not only would it have benefitted his character to have that kind of focus outside of being at Pomni's side, but it would offer more hindsight on how his coping mechanisms are TOTAL SHIT and that would have hit him (or the others, more likely) harder in episode 8, when he raced out of the bakery and went, "Oh my God...this is real" as he neared a panic attack yet again. Everyone but him kept onto the reality that despite their situation, they're still people. They think, they feel, they hurt. Jax deliberately ignores this, because he's afraid, as Pomni said. Why is he afraid? Why is he avoiding his emotions? Why is he pushing people away, and what did he do? And why does the show think that this is okay to brush under the rug?
I understand why it was said at the time, because in the end, they are all that they have at moment and episode 9 COULD touch upon going past Jax's treatment of them all once it drops, but I personally feel it would be much more emotionally investing if we got a Ragatha focus and the hindsight of Jax's past. Just my two cents on the matter.
