For those new to these Fakemon, they're from the fake region known as the Encantus region. It's a Puerto Rico inspired region. The fire starter is based off a combination of the legendary Chupacabra and the Puerto Rican street dogs.

Based off the Spindalis. I'm having so much fun with this region project. Time to start on their 2nd evos 👀

I'm having so much fun with this project. All the research going into it is helping me connect to my Puerto Rican heritage. Once I have the 3 starters done, I plan to draw them all together and -attempt- to do them in Sugimoro's style 😁😁

I've been really inspired to create my own Fakemon region. So fuck it! Here we go. It's a Puerto Rican inspired region due to me being half-Puerto Rican myself. This is the fire starter! First form for it. It's a mixture of the Chupacabra and Puerto Rican Sato (or street dog). I already have ideas for the water and grass starters, and I'm excited to design more Fakemon 👀
