if i were making the next adaptation of mdzs and i could make it the sex violence and necromancy cut i would add sex scenes but have none of them be the canon wangxian ones. they would be xuexiao and qin su/jgy. this is carefully calculated to generate the maximum amount of fandom drama. to the same end jiang cheng and ymsj would feature heavily in the marketing

it would go to greater lengths than previous adaptations to show jgy's book-canon good side but he would also have an extremely sinister sounding theme that would play any time he does anything no matter how innocuous

wen chao's death would be entirely onscreen

i would pepper in these small things into an otherwise stellar adaptation like im sneaking notes from the song of turmoil into the song of clarity. i believe this would be productive of a maximally toxic environment

Make jgy's theme the one he weaves into cleansing for nmj

this is a GREAT idea i would also make it extremely clear that jgy only starts playing the evil version after the stairs incident. that way the narrative is clearly showing that it's a justified extremity he only engages in because he has been pushed to it by nmj's actions while the music would be saying that he's revealing his true self when doing it. completely contradictory. it would be awful
