I've never seen a baby blackbird before, we don't get them where I live, but I have seen a baby common grackles, and they're also brown as juveniles, so I saw your post and was like. "IS THAT A BABY BLACKBIRD?!". So cute, haha!!
Yes, that sure is a baby blackbird! š Young blackbirds are quite different from the adults. Both male and female juveniles are brown when they first leave the nest, which helps them blend into their surroundings a bit better. As they mature, the females remain (dark) brown, while the males gradually moult into that black plumage that gives the species its name. The bright yellow beak and eye-ring comes later too. It's always a lovely time of year when the young blackbirds start appearing. They seem so full of curiosity, even when they're still following their parents around and asking to be fed every few minutes (strike that, should be every few SECONDS)!

i'm breaking the author's silence to address these tags directly, because i've seen similar responses a few times. your context is part of you. you like your favorite band because you found them somehow. you speak the languages you speak because somebody else taught you. you feel the way you feel because you have memories and experiences. shaving off pieces of yourself will not reveal a truth at the center, and will only make you feel less like a person worth being. you will never shed your context or influences, anymore than you will ever become younger or undrink a glass of water. but you are free to create as much additional context as you like. build yourself outward instead of digging for yourself at the center. trying 100 new things will give you 100 more data points on what you like, don't like, think, believe, feel. it might begin to reveal an image of yourself that you can recognize, respect, and love. your life is not an object to be kept clean, it is an ongoing action that you get to control. also that's starlight glimmer not rarity.
Transandrophobia is not misandry. Its not a subset of misandry. Its not an intersection involving misandry. It's transphobia. Transphobia against transmasculinity specifically. It's antitransmasculinity.
Hey so this is like extremely intersexist. Like mask-off intersexism if you think perisex/intersex is in any way comparable to tme/tma. Anyone reblogging this is not an ally of intersex people and needs to change their heart or shut up forever.
The problem with this mentality is that these are two extremely different situations.
Perisex means "not intersex" while tme/tma rely entirely on declaring who experiences what form of oppression
Perisex doesn't mean "intersexism exempt" as many perisex trans people DO experience intersexism
Saying that everyone who isn't transfem doesn't experience transmisogyny and is exempt from it and using that as the determining factor for not being in your "in" group is exactly the issue with these terms.
There's nothing wrong with a word that means "not transfem" but the issue is that the way tme/tma work is that "transmisogyny affected" fundamentally does not apply to only transfem but people are claiming it should.
Tme/tma are based entirely on denying the experiences of others and forcing people into a dichotomy that doesn't function.
There is no other "not in x queer group" label that defines itself based on this other group being exempt from oppression. Alloromantic doesn't mean arophobia exempt. Cis doesn't mean transphobia exempt. Monosexual doesn't mean bi/panphobia exempt. Straight doesn't mean homophobia exempt. If you can acknowledge and see how strange and counterproductive it would be to define these things in that way then you can see how counterproductive tme/tma as labels are.
I canāt and donāt and wonāt ever claim to speak for all intersex trans people but personally, I do not consider perisex people āmy oppressorsā especially in the way that I see some people position ātmesā as āoppressorsā. im oppressed by systems, systems that yes, individual people participate in and uphold, but in the same way that they opt into participation and defense of these systems, they can opt out, but they cannot leave the system entirely, so no, i do not feel oppressed by them in the same way i feel oppressed by the system.
there are lots of cases of perisex parents being punished for attempting to raise their perisex children sexless + genderless. for opting out of giving their intersex children ācorrectiveā procedures. i want this system destroyed. for all of us. there are perisex people giving birth to intersex children. my mother is a cis perisex woman who gave birth to me and allowed me to be put through various corrective medical procedures. I could see her as my oppressor. Or I could look at the bigger picture. That she was an mis/under-informed Black woman in deep poverty who made choices based on the perspective she had the time. A perspective based off biased, intersexist views and white supremacist cisheteronormative assumptions. i hate my mother. I am no contact with her and always will be. she will never get to know the beautiful person I have grown to be. but my oppressor? is the system that did this to both of us. she made a choice. but I just canāt pretend the choice was made in a vacuum and that she was immune to or stronger than the influence from these systems.
i am oppressed by systems. i am harmed by people. we can all make a choice to opt out of the ways systems tell us to participate. we cannot simply leave the system. regardless of how much someone hates me or harms me, opting to act as an Agent of Oppressive Forces, I cannot unsee that the Powers that Be are pulling both of our strings. I want out of this samsara and I just donāt feel like designating groups of individual people my oppressors is getting me there. anyways yeah the og screenshotted post is intersexist as fuck.

A very large chunk of intersex women and girls arenāt allowed to be pro athletes in track or running anymore and I wish more people were talking about it or hell, even just knew about it. I wish there was more of an outcry. I wish people cared more about defending intersex people in sport because why does it seemingly only fall on intersex athletes themselves to fight this shit at great cost to their privacy and safety.
Because they aren't going after intersex people at all. They are going after trans people and you are just the civilians they massacre along the way. The average if it doesn't even know what an intersex person is. Nobody is trying to propagate systemic intersexism, because they are not aware of it or you.
Us trans people care about this issue, because them harassing us is hurting you and we don't like that

Also was reading through another reply from this person right before I got blocked and she was comparing it to Puerto Ricans being targeted by ICE (and saying essentially that them being targeted is also an āunfortunate accidentā because theyāre not the āreal targetsā and just look like them or some shit like that) and let me know if Iām out of line here because Iām white and not american but somehow I donāt think the racist targeting of a group of people disenfranchised and subjugated under the US empire is an accident, even if theyāre US citizens. Like ICE targeting various racialized groups regardless of legal status isnāt an accident of the system, itās the system working as designed.
And Iāve said this before but Iāll say it again: interconnected and overlapping oppression does not mean you get to center yourself when a marginalized group youāre not even a fucking part of is talking about what they are facing, especially when youāre fucking trying to deny the existence of another groupās oppression.
