hi an age gap of 25-30 is NOT the same as an age gap of 15-20 thank u for coming to my ted talk
this was possibly the fastest I had ever pulled my phone out to take a picture.

Distance weapon: those sky dancer propeller toys.
Iâll allow it.
I have but two words:
Are those a weapon or piece of armor?

This is so weird bc being born in 1997 I saw all these toys⌠old, dirty, and faded by the sun
itâs so weird to think of them as new and current toys rather than the relics of a bygone age

The town of Honiton U.K, has a âHot Penny Dayâ, a parade where children collect thrown coins. The tradition was purportedly started by wealthy people, whom would heat pennies on a stove, throw them into the streets, and laugh at the peasants burning their fingers while picking them up. Anyway, do you guys want to see my Cool Rocks?
This is my grandfatherâs rock. It is Probably a Garnet, which he mined out himself when he was in college studying to be a geologist.
Though you may assume this is a Small Rock, it is in fact a very Large Rock, and also a very Heavy Rock, but most especially a very Square Rock, which is what makes it particularly cool.
Here we have a rock which used to be a tree. This rock is petrified wood! It was one of my very first Cool Rocks!
Speaking of rocks that used to be things that were not rocks, this rock is Petoskey stone! This rock used to be a coral. Letâs get a good look at those patterns.
Now thatâs a Cool Rock!
Amethyst? Itâs an Okay Rock. If you are looking for an inexpensive rock to start your collection, amethyst is the way to go. Itâs a quartz with a deep purple color. A very nice, if average, rock.
Now citrine⌠Citrine is a Cool Rock! Itâs a smoky quartz with a lovely honey color. The druzy on my chunk of citrine has a wonderful sparkle.
This is my Amazonite! It grew that hexagon shape all by itself!! This specimen is from Colorado.
Look at this shiny little slice of rock! This rock is Tiger Iron, and those bands of red and orange glow beautifully with some light behind them. These different colored bands are made from Hematite (the dark silver), Jasper (the red-orange), and Tiger-Eye quartz (the yellow-orange).
Hereâs a rock youâve probably seen before! This Cool Rock is Malachite. The patterns and rings are from the stalagmites this little egg was carved from.
Whoa, look at this giant slab of Extremely Cool Rock!!! These crystals formed in the cracks of fossilized mud, to make the awesome patterns in this geode of Septarian! This is my second best rock.
This is my Best and most Favorite Cool Rock. In this dark room itâs a dull little grey rock, but if I move it closer to the lightâŚ
Those glints of gold! Those veins of blue! This rock is most certainly Labradorite, which changes color spectacularly when the light hits it just right. Letâs put it in direct sunlight.
Yes!! YES!! There it is!! The Best and Coolest Rock!!!!!
This is so pure
I am all about the Cool Rocksâ˘ď¸!

Pride is our family history. Pride is taking on the weight of all that courage, realizing we are what they hoped for,
Pride is a group of girls in 1922 dancing in the basement of a Parisian gay bar,
Pride is Gavin Grimm standing in court day after day for the sake of all the trans kids who just want to use the bathroom at school,
Pride is Marsha P. Johnson walking down the street with flowers in her hair, wearing a dress thatâs going to get her arrested,
Pride is all the lesbians in the pews at every gay kidâs funeral in 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985,
Pride is Harvey Milk repeating You gotta give em hope. Smiling at the cameras, waiting for that bullet to find its mark,
Pride is Magnus Hirschfield and the WhK showing up to lobby for gay rights day after day in 1898, getting the police to hand out gender passes to the trans kids in the streets, collecting 100,000 queer peopleâs stories for posterity, We were here,
Pride is a Victorian priest marrying two men in the sight of God and several dozen noisy friends. Pride is a dried bouquet kept on display in two menâs front parlor,
Pride is Edward Carpenter holding Georgeâs hand while they walk around the garden and the village police refusing to give a damn about it because George and Edward are ours, they take care of us and we take care of them,
Pride is a hundred generations of indigenous queer tradition held onto in defiance while the colonials make straightness the way of the Lord,
Pride is Lili Elbe waiting in the hospital with her wife for a surgery brand-new to history,
Pride is a butch girl putting her arm around her girlfriendâs shoulders outside a drag show while the police kick and push people into the back of a van one by one,
Pride is identity, Pride is family history, Pride is holding onto other peopleâs memories, Pride is us.
Today a little boy was engaging in âpulling pigtailsâ behavior, pestering a particular girl. I told her, and the class, that sometimes when little boys like someone theyâll act like jerks just to get their attention. The rest of the class hooted, the boy protested, and the girl grimaced and said she knew, her mother and older brother and old teacher told her.
I continued on to say that just because a boy likes you doesnât give him an excuse to be a jerk, and you shouldnât give them a chance to get your attention until they learn how to behave and her face was priceless. Basically, picture a tiny elementary school girl with red bows in her hair embodying the spirit of this gif:
The boy went super quiet.
what an absolutely Fantastic post
Clint Watts, a former special agent at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, says that Moscow got its man in the White House in 2016.
âRussia if youâre listeningâ, Donald J Trump
âTrump asked Russia to find Clintonâs emails. Within 24 hours, Russians attacked her accounts.â
Asked point-blank if Russian hacking and disinformation helped elect Trump to the presidency, Clint Watts, who tracked the online activities of extremist groups like al-Qaida and the Islamic State group for the FBI in the run-up to the 2016 election, was resolute.
âYes. I think just alone the hacking, particularly of the DNC and the time to release by WikiLeaks and DCLeaks and others of hacked materials offset the media narrative,â
âIf you go back to the infamous âAccess Hollywoodâ tape of Donald Trump, it was immediately followed by the release, within an hour I believe, of hacked emails to try and distract from that narrative, and to essentially inundate that media space with other coverage.â
âThat was remarkable. They were essentially amplifying essentially indigenous American conspiracies in different ways, that the U.S. might declare martial law and take peoplesâ weapons,â he said. âBut what they were really doing was testing a new way to do warfare, information warfare, which was from their Soviet system called âactive measures,â which is winning through the force of politics rather than the politics of force by helping U.S. politicians who favor Russia get elected and rise to policy positions.â
This what Malcolm Nance said
âI think Russia has won. If you look at what their goals were â degrading or defeating NATO, breaking up the European Union, finding an ally in counterterrorism for their Syria policy, and making gains against Ukraine â theyâve gotten all of those,â Watts
âI can think of no intelligence operation and influence operation thatâs been more successful in world history in such a short period of time.â

12 Dozen Places To Educate Yourself Online At No Cost
via SGW
âAll education is self-education. Â Period.â
It doesnât matter if youâre sitting in a college classroom or a coffee shop. We donât learn anything we donât want to learn.
Those people who take the time and initiative to pursue knowledge on their own are the only ones who earn a real education in this world. Â Take a look at any widely acclaimed scholar, entrepreneur or historical figure you can think of.
Formal education or not, youâll find that he or she is a product of continuous self-education.
If youâre interested in learning something new, this article is for you. Â Broken down by subject and/or category, here are several top-notch self-education resources I have bookmarked online over the past few years.
Note that some of the sources overlap between various subjects of education. Â Therefore, each has been placed under a specific subject based on the majority focus of the sourceâs content.

âWe all have the same 24 hours.â Use public transport? Your 24 hours are not the same as those of private jet owners. Do your own cooking, cleaning, child-raising? Your 24 yours are not the same as those of someone with a full-time domestic staff. Stop this nonsense.
Money buys time. Your own time ~ you pay to do stuff faster. Other peopleâs time ~ you pay them to do stuff for you. How many hours does your favourite celebrity *really* have? 24 + hours saved by expediting with money + total daily working hours of their entire team.Â
âWe all have the same 24 hoursâ is capitalismâs toxic tool for:
~ shaming the 99% for not being the 1% ~ erasing the support labour that makes celebrity lives possible, and the people who perform that labour; ~ shutting down questions about privilege, capital, and saftey nets. ~ @shailjapatel
you want my hot take for the evening? people who dont like complainers just havent been exposed to good complaining, and will never know if they themselves have an inborn talent for the art of kvetching
good complaining is some combination of a) funny, b) animated and theatrical, c) insightful re: human foibles, d) inquiry into social trends and norms.it must ALWAYS involve at least a small degree of self awareness, and is often used to build camaraderie and maintain relationships.
