They want the Perfect Trad Wife who won't expect him to be the Perfect Trad Husband.

The jury is supposed to decide if the facts of the case, and the law as it is presented to them, are reasonably convincing one way or the other. The judge is supposed to make sure the lawyers are making their presentation correctly and decide what arguments can be considered and what's out of line. ie. if one lawyer says some rank bullshit and the other lawyer objects, the judge gets to tell the jury whether they should ignore the statement (not that they necessarily will, but you know)

Very explicitly, in the video, the regular police straight up lie to the couple, telling them they will go to jail for harboring a fugitive if they dont hand the doordasher over, and that it doesnt matter if ice has a warrant for her arrest.
